SteveoT
Thanks for the selections! They have not released pricing but the store is famous for GOUGING you. Although this is "Black Friday" hahahaha. We will see when the link goes live today what the prices are. I feel like I need the Blanton's Gold since it is something I have never seen or tried. I have had Weller 12 (amazing) and elmer once (amazing). We just had a small drop of Weller 12 but stores are asking $150+ for it so I passed. Let's see what prices land at today! This is where you get selected and when you exit the store and others waiting in line asked what you got, you tell them that you opted for OF100 and WT101 because they are fine whiskies and everything else was extremely overpriced. Of course, you can just skip the hassle and buy those at another store and not have to wait in line.
mbroo5880i
Local chain is holding their annual charity auction. You buy tickets @ $10 each for the lottery. All proceeds of the lottery go to charity. Winners of the lottery win the "right to purchase" a premium bottle. You are selected for a specific bottle. You don't get a choice. If you decline to purchase the bottle, it goes into a future charity lottery. The bottles to be raffled are Eagle Rare 17 – 1 bottle ($174.99) George T Stagg – 7 bottles ($174.99) Sazerac 18 – 1 bottle ($174.99) William Larue Weller – 2 bottles ($174.99) Thomas H Handy – 6 bottles ($174.99) Van Winkle 10yr – 6 bottles ($99.99) Van Winkle 12 yr – 15 bottles ($119.99) Van Winkle 15yr – 3 bottles ($199.99) Van Winkle 20yr – 1 bottle ($299.99) Van Winkle 23 – 1 bottle ($499.99) Van Winkle Rye – 1 bottle ($199.99) Edited December 2, 2020 by mbroo5880i

fishnbowljoe
Here’s the list from a lottery held at a store I used to go to a lot. I spent a bunch of money there over the years. Long story short, the manager started upping the prices a few years ago. Since it really started turning tater, I hardly stop there any more. Joe Almost forgot. In years past, they charged $10.00 then $20.00 to get in. Then it was $10.00 for $10 raffle tickets. They had tastings and food, which made it almost decent. Still, spending $30.00 for just a chance to buy overpriced bottles was just a bit too much for me. FWIW, Vosgar thought the same thing. https://everettsliquor.com/event/whiskeyfest-2020/
JoeTerp
I'd take those prices for a chance. In VA they will all be retail but when they've done online lotteries there are over 50,000 entrants

We typically give to the charity (local neighborhood) that they benefit to gain your "entries" so it is just a bonus to be able to buy the bottles... Snagged a GTS last year, do not believe they are doing it this year.

Took a poor attitude on that brand since. Maybe that was an excessively reactionary stance. I'm not happy with any but ECBP seems like making the best of a bad situation. What did you end up with? I took a weller full proof store pick, over PHC, 4RSmbLE, OFitzBiB, Bombergers, ETL, RHF, etc. Their WFP was just incredible (got one in the spring). Couldn’t stop drinking it. Like sweet nectar. They picked it as OWA, and changed it to WFP after the fact.... and it turned out incredible. and if you need Saffell or ECBP, ask a friend Edited December 7, 2020 by 0895

jnewberg
Not a "lottery" but LS is doing a "first come, first serve" on Thursday... Some real good bottles but have a people will be camping out for prob 2 nights for them... Not close to worth it especially since the hi/lo temps will be 32*/20*. LOL No idea how many of each that they received... They own 3 stores that get a good selection but the area itself doesn’t get a ton of allocated bottles... The kicker is, each person can pick up to 1 bottle from 2 of the 3 GROUPS... So after the first 30 or so people, 1 and 2 will more than likely be wiped out... For reference, a different store got a WFP store pick ( 40 bottles only) and there were people lining up at 4am and were 100 people in line 2 hours before the store opened.
