Another one bites the recycling bin. Have two more bottles that are close to finding the same result. Not sure they will be done by the end of weekend, but it will happen next week for sure!IMG_2028.jpg

Thanks. It came in a large collection of goodies from HH when they sponsored an event for Norton Healthcare about 5 years ago. It was a silent auction item that cost me $600, but I got ECBP Batches 1 & 2 along with EC22 all signed by Craig Beam. It had a signed Barrel head and lots of other Evan Williams spices and sauces. The bottle of 22yr was AMAZING and well worth the money!!!

I hate sending another V17 to the recycling bin, but it was enjoyable until the end.  My stash of these is almost gone, but not quite yet.

The cabinet is officially starting to look empty as this one hits the bin tonight to kickoff the weekend. Can't wait to open the reinforcements from the bunker!IMG_2029.jpg

It has been that type of a week and the first pour didn't last long! I've now lost track of how many bottles have run dry this week.IMG_2031.jpg

I finished my last one in 2015 and I’m still getting over it.

Haven’t had one in at least 6-7 years. Impressed you had enough foresight to create a stash of them. Those were REALLY good!

I think @SouthsideRed swears by this application (bourbon in tea).

:)

I'm a hot toddy kinda guy myself.

That is correct.  Actually had one yesterday. . .trying to kick a chest cold that has been bouncing between the kids and I for the past month.

Killed this bottle of 4 year Willet Rye. The second half was much better than the first.

I thought the 126 proof batch was a lot better than that 107.2.  The 107.2 was good but tasted a bit young to me.

The 113.8 batch has an extremely distinct black grape/muscadine taste up front. Do either of these batches have it?

The 107.2 is, to me, quite "fruity" up front.  That may be what you pick up in 113.8.  I've not tasted the 113.8.  As for the 126, I would say it definitely does not have the taste you describe.

This bottle got better over the months it was open.  Nice nose of sweet caramel.  Time for some bunker-hunting now to replace this guy.
