Cracked a WFE 10yr small batch rye last night. 115 proof. MGP distilled.

Just tremendous. The time in the barrel has resulted in some beautiful complexity. The dill and other calling cards of the 95% rye mash bill are muted here. This is a unique pour.

Need a few more pours of this to confirm my initial impression of course.

Saw this recently for $250 and was tempted...

I wouldn't be you could pick up a Redemption Barrel Proof 10 year old MGP for $100.

I would if I could find one.

Keep your eye open for Whistlepig single barrel barrel proofs too, many (most?) of these are 10+ year MGP. Usually $75-80.

I have bought quite a few. They have been stated as MGP but to be honest they have all been solid and I don't have a problem if they are Alberta rye.

At first, just a lot of sweetness which I found odd, then on the tongue that classic MGP rye spice. Finish on the tongue is pretty lacking but it does leave a tingle on the lips which I’m guessing is coming from the proof.

Went in looking for an OF Rye. Left with a WT 101 Rye. It's right in my wheelhouse. Not overly complex, but a damn fine Rye.

Banana Laffy Taffy®, chewing gum, dill and deli meat-- a rather “uniquely crafted” rye…

I definitely would've pulled the trigger at that price.  SF pricing is hard.  I paid quite a bit more for my 10yr.

I could be wrong, but it looks like the “Deckard” glass from Bladerunner???

@Galvin0791 is correct, these are CIBI glasses made in Italy that were used in the film Blade Runner. They're not cheap (£120 a pair here), but was a gift from the wife as she knows I'm a big Blade Runner fan.

They're very heavy, great to drink out of!

I ran back out and secured another bottle of the OF rye.  This initial release appears to be pretty limited (at least for now most stores here got 1 case), so I wanted to make sure I don't run out before we get another shipment.

FWIW, I can see this being my new go to.  Sticky deliciousness in a bottle!

Four different ryes?

Or four grain whiskey that's 51% rye?

It’s four different grains %70 rye.

A PS single barrel variant of this young rye from Lincoln Road-- distinctively different from the standard batched offering with a major Scotch Single Grain Whisky vibe. I tried a few and the Cadenhead 26yo Strathclyde (with a few drop of Johnnie Walker Gold Label) pretty much nailed it. We're not in Kentucky anymore.
