Hope it turns out to be solid! But my past experience with French malt is to keep expectations low...

The whole ordering process already fell below expectations (placed my order on-line May 7th expecting it would arrive in time for International Whisky Night - which was awesome by the way; thanks again!)

As Whisky Advocate made it one of their Top 10 whiskies, it should be . . . oh . . .wait . . . nevermind (seeing how they rounded out their Top 20 should remind me not to pay attention to such nonsense )

14yo fresh— all maturation, no finish. Splendid stuff. These folks know what they’re doing in regards to cask management.

Picked up a M30y for a friend today. They knocked the price down to $2700. Anyway, I’m sure it’s good stuff. 07888E16-AFA9-403A-A15A-3DE32E5C263E.thumb.jpeg.518f6394dc1daf8c23f0a20d254e3268.jpeg

Celebrated a big win at the casino with a bottle I love, but have never bought a bottle before due to its price. Will be opening this weekend.

Added a couple of years and held the price-- a positive play by LVMH…

Wow! I like the sound of that! It’ll probably be awhile before I see it in my area though since I still see the old 12yr version in many shops.

It’s hit the Atlanta burbs Jeff so it might not be too long for ya.

I finished my last bottle of 12yr Quinta Ruban several months back, and had been considering buying another, but hadn’t. I’ll now wait until the new version shows up...sooner or later than expected.

With the rebranding it seems like a lot of stores around her have marked down the Glenmo 4 bottle mini packs, I've grabbed a few and look forward to comparing the 14 year to the 12.

This was a nice surprise for me.  A casual Sunday drop-in to a local, and came across a couple of bottles of a Springbank Single Cask, 11 year old matured in a refill Sauternes hogshead.  As a big Springbank fan, they had to came home with me.

Took advantage of a Memorial Day Sale combined with already heavily discounted prices-- cheaper than lower mid-shelf bourbon. The doo-dad on the Isle of Jura 16 reminds me of the old 45 rpm spindle converters…

My goodness. If I'm ever in Baton Rouge, I'm inviting myself over to your place..........whether you like it or not :P

Absolutely, you are officially invited— just make sure you Uber because it’s easy to fall into the “kid in a candy store” zone.

My brother in law brought me some celebratory bottles on the birth of my first child, a son, and his first nephew!

Odd on many levels, which made it all the more appealing...

While the Orphan Barrel bourbons are/were reasonably priced for the age of the whiskey, I see they've gone full Scotch crazy on this one. Went online, saw the $400 price tags, and decided that was as far as my interest was going. I'm kind of disappointed, your description had me intrigued :(

Haven't seen much in the way of reviews that makes me think a Pittyvaich from near rthe end of the distilleries existence warrants much effort, much less a $400 price tag, even if it is 26yo bottling that is older than the length of time the distillery itself existed. And the label looks rather goofy to me. as well, not that it is a rare occurrence for these releases.

Maybe it is great stuff but I think maybe only these guys would be interested...

Spoiler

Fitst time Tamdhu has hit our market-- we opened the bottle at the LS to give it a whirl. Sad that the standard DRUM bottle carried the same price tag as the Committee Release-- makes me think I got a comparative deal on the latter.
