An official cask strength NCF bourbon-matured Bowmore of this age had me laughing all the way back to the hotel.
Marekv8
Curse these G&M Distillery Labels... may have to ask the hotel to stash this one until my return.

Marekv8
Final pick of the trip, think I’m all Islay this time around— other than the G&M. Hope the TSA is kind to me.

BDanner
The LAG16 is my favorite Non-American whisky so I used a portion of my Birthday Bonus from work to pick up the House Lannister GOT LAG9yo.

I'll probably never find this shop again-- but I'm going to try when I'm back next week. Good luck, I'm trying to curtail my spending at the moment so I'm not even tempted to ask you where if you can find it, enjoy the spoils of the hunt! Just retraced my steps on Google Maps and found it-- it's a total s#!†-hole with the most scathing Google reviews I've ever read. Love it-- one even complained that it was exceptionally dusty and dark, with freaky, creaky bottles jammed haphazardly on shelves.

Between the 2005 Bowmore and the 2010 Lagavulin and now a bottle of Ardbeg from probably 7 years ago. Quite the haul!

Can't believe that everything made it back in one piece. The Glenlivet 21 Distillery Label was bottled in 2014, the freshest of the lot. I'm going back next Saturday to do some more digging at the dusty dive-- I just ID'd a bottle I saw there out of the corner of my eye and I'm kicking my own ass for leaving it behind. Marekv8
Took advantage of last week's 15% off sale at Astor. Hopefully a weird one.

lcpfratn
Another Jura 10 to compare with the vintage bottle I just received... Love the Lagavulin special edition. I haven’t seen one of those in my area, but I remember reading about it.
Marekv8
The wackiest pack ever, with the disco label and 25 pound wooden box-- complete with a pair of branded collapsible travel cups. However, according to a trusted source-- the dram is quite well done. It's going to be a struggle getting this one home.

Heck, I was so enamored with the Angels Envy Cask Strength packaging last year that I had to buy two!

Agreed, but this is a case where the pack became an obstacle— but at least it doesn’t scream designed by committee. My key purchase purpose in this case was to support one of my favorite brand ambassadors who I hope to see at WhiskyFest in a couple of weeks.
Marekv8
Fifteen miles of walking and 13 liquor stores... the killer dusty I hoped to snag was the wrong bottle in the right box (1969 Bowmore 25yo), so I ended up with these. Indie Cragganmore bottlings don’t fall off trees, so I’m very pleased.
Auracom
been monitoring availability of the one on the left for probably 3 years and finally went for it. it's a birth year bottle, looking forward to cracking in November. the Clynelish was on clearance for a ridiculously good price.
