How was the first whirl?

Had a few small pours last night and one this morning.

has a great nose and a fantastic lingering finish.  Probably the best mgp finish I’ve experienced.  Lots of pepper and vanilla.

Opened my traditional WTRB while sitting in my Ditka jersey surrounded by Lions fans in Michigan. Displaced Illinoisans need high proof when dealing with in-laws/Lions fans.

First half of this bottle went into the bird brine.

second half is slowly being taken out by myself and the wife’s uncle.

That seems like a bit of a waste for brine!  I pretty much use EWBiB for cooking purposes.  I can’t believe your getting that much better flavor out of something more expensive???

Joining the turkey party. Opened this one. Bottled on 6/4/14, Rickhouse N. Really good stuff, lots of sweet, aromatic wood notes that are well integrated.

Yup not in a while last time was with the Hold Steady, not sure why I didn't see them more recently particularly because I probably enjoyed American Band as much as (maybe more than) most, my favorite of the post Isbell records for sure.
