The KC Cask Strength Rye is really good, IMO.

I actually preferred the Double Barrelled rye and it's about $15 cheaper.

For some reason, this never showed up in No. Cal.  At least not at K&L or any of the other stores I frequent.  I would love to try it as I did hear good things about it.

Saw the Knob Creek 12 at 59.99....  Also left a Magnus Murray Hill Club on the shelf at $75, but was sorely tempted!

Passed on a bunch of rye..... again, seems like these have been here several weeks now. I wonder if there would be that many single barrels if the label said BT instead of KC???

which one would you pick up????

Those High West store picks. They're barrel proof and have interesting finishes, for $40! I would grab the American Prairie pick and the Double Rye finished in Armagnac cask.

the pic finished in scotch barrels is great. very complex. lotsa rye with a dose of peat! picked up the armagnac as well but not opened yet. they also just had 2 larceny sb pics recently as well.

I didn't really pass on this since it hasn't come in yet.  However, it will be a pass when it does.

One of the local liquor stores posted this on their Facebook Page.

"Preservation Distillery is going to release to Indiana their Rare Perfection 14 year retail $134.99 and 15 year retail $169.99 and Old St Nick retail $153.99. I do not know where their whiskey is sourced from. Should we buy a little or as much as I can??"

Based on the response, they will have no trouble selling what they get.

I tried some of the 15yr this weekend. It's horrible. It wasn't just me. The other 4-5 people around me who tried it had the same reaction.

Spotted a bottle of Booker’s Country Ham in my local Total Wine, but passed.
