Just back from New York with a few indies. The color on the Auchroisk 12 stopped me in my tracks-- that's one hell of a first-fill bourbon influence.

Snagged an older Compass Box Asyla (in a blue box rather than the beige they used more recently).  Have only had this a couple of times, and don't recall what I thought - so can rectify that!

Is this your South Florida connection again?

One of them ;)

Although I was just reminded of the inconvenience of older bottles . . .

Just disintegrated.  Thankfully at home where the tools to remedy are readily available - just puts a 15 min delay on that initial pour.

Found a Laphroaig 10yr CS Batch 009 today. Having bought one while on vacation in Scotland in '17 when it first came out, I was surprised to find this bottle on the shelf, especially for $57.99. Since I really enjoyed my first bottle, this was a no-brainer purchase.

Yes, you should-- this is a dynamite dram with a 20w-50 viscosity and 59.5% ABV.

Wasn't on my list-- hoping that it's as old school as the packaging. Natural color, NCF and 46.8% ABV are a plus for an old-timer.

Brace yourself Vosgar
I just had my local set aside a MaCallan Edition 5 for me.

Just picked up one from my local shop. Plan on cracking it tonight while watching the Cowboys.

How are you measuring the viscosity, are you timing the legs on the glass?

It was only a comparative reference to motor oil. This stuff has the mouthfeel of Drambuie.

Sorry it was a silly joke.

Pre-ordered a day before the tariff hit and luckily it all went through OK. A peated cask strength Cragganmore and a cask strength Cardhu should both offer a unique take on these distilleries.

Costco had an Alexander Murray 2005 12yr Cask Strength Laphroaig for $50.  Too hard to turn that down.

A no doubt purchase for certain.

This was a pass to avoid duplication… but damn, what a price.

Sometimes duplication is OK, even for you Dave!
