I was thinking of you yesterday-- as The Winebow Group had become a topic of discussion with a LS buyer.

Interesting that after a long draught-- there are several fresh indie Royal Brackla releases, and all at 11 years old. Maybe some big sell-off occurred in 2008-- I'll do some digging.

Regards, Dave

I don't know how they are to deal with from a store owners perspective, but from the consumer end, if you ever have a chance to meet Monique Huston from Winebow I think you'll be impressed.

I came thisclose to buying a Writers Tears Double Oak today, but because the second oak is a cognac barrel I was hesitant to pull the trigger. When I got home I remembered the HH SB Select Stock bottles were finished in cognac barrels and I love those whiskies. Doh!! I'll be heading back tomorrow to pick one up.

Another delivery-- this one with a batch of new aperitifs I brought in for reference. First time using my wife's tricky seamless photo table-- I'm liking it.

An unexpected find (for less than MSRP) amidst the chaos…

First year in quite some time I didn't even bother looking for an Ardbeg Committee release

I hear you— it’s lost the insider appeal. Apparently the number of bottles in our general market this year is significantly lower than years past.

I figured this bottle would get lost in transit-- as it was sourced and purchased well before the hammer fell. FedEx tracked me down this morning and presented me with a well-battered box, nicely done.

Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2012 with a HSE Rhum cask finish-- should be interesting.

Nice Pitlochry pair! Is the Edradour a full term maturation and what’s its age?

No new bottles at the LS, so I grabbed this one that's been on his shelf for a wee bit-- it's been a Cask Strength week anyway.

Understandably, the main distributor has trimmed shipments to the top 500 existing SKUs and will not bring in new releases or take special orders-- so grabbing a Wee Beastie or Rogues' Banquet is going to take some doing.
