The Real McCoy 12 is delicious.

I don't drink much rum , but I was intrigued since this is a pick.

I’m just starting to get into it. Good straight or on ice with a slice of lime.

A pick? Like a store pick? I've never heard of a Real McCoy store pick, you have me very intrigued...

Today was one of those days - a paid-off credit card, me with the car AND an empty (of bottles) trunk, and two hours to kill before picking my wife up from grocery shopping.  LIFE is FAT!

OF 100 rye to start, a couple OF 1897 BIBs 20% off (don't know why; didn't ask), some Baker's 7YO (10% off, ditto), a 375 of JBB (AKA Xtra aged) for blending with a Booker's from 2016 I found to be too harsh and unwieldy to treat with water only (and which shall go unnamed to avoid hate mailB) and opprobrium:)  EVEN IF they are deserved:o).  I did miss a Baker's 13 by a minute or so @ $99.  Guy in front of me was looking for Baker's, and the clerk said,  "This is all we have right now."  It was one bottle.  I found my 7YOs at the next store I hit,

I'm pretty sure I got a few more things, but I'm afraid to look in the trunk to see.  Had to put them in the wheel well so there was room for the groceries and left the brown bags on them so they wouldn't clink so the label images didn't imprint on my brain.  On the positive side, it'll be like a second Christmas when I DO look.

It is a HAPPY NEW YEAR so far.

Stopped by the local shop I puschase 80% of my Beer, Wine, Vodka and Bourbon.  Grabbed a regular BT and spent some time just shooting the breeze.

I didn't think that I would ever have a subpar pour of BT, but this WB barrel pick I got yesterday was too thin and bland..

Well that’s disappointing I was going to pick some of this up as BT is probably my favorite BT product and I like the variety from the picks.

Private sale.  Seller said it belonged to a relative who had passed away recently.  Seller was definitely not an aficionado, much less a tater.  I got to smell and taste before buying it.  If this is a refill, then the blender could make a fortune refilling bottles of PVW.

picked up a 1792 FP store pick as a backup to my half empty bottle and also a 4R PS OESQ. The price was definitely better than the few other stores in the area that had a 4R PS pick recently. It was a good lunch break stop today.

I normally roll my eyes when guys throw a vehicle crotch shot to show their score. I approve of this one, though.

Had a pretty good couple of weeks horse trading and bourbon hunting from Oklahoma to Dallas to the College Station area.

Picked up this one from my local. Since my daughter was born in February I haven’t really bourbon hunted but focused on my local and supported all the store picks and such. It paid off! I haven’t disrobed her yet.

This is the first time I've ever seen W12 just sitting on the shelf in California.  $90 is still too much but I bought it anyway, figured I have to try it sometime.

Yeah.  a guy who runs a DC liquor store got a pick of this (claims it is very rare and they only do a few picks a year, but I have no idea how true that is).

Yes, it's a 45$ Buffalo Trace Bourbon SB and I have not had a chance to buy.  In this market get it while you can.

If you like other BT products with similar mashbills then you will like Hancock at $45.

if not let me know and I’ll pay you $65 a bottle plus shipping ?
