Made an on-line purchase of Ardbed Wee Beastie this weekend too - waiting to see how long that takes to arrive (at least they're warning folks due to increased demand, shipments may be delayed; where pre-pandemic the 'norm' was 2-3 weeks).  Thankfully in NO jeopardy of running out prior ;)

Mail call with a leaker-- figured it was risky to ship a 2008 bottling but an indie ex-bourbon Bowmore got the best of me. Didn't lose much, luckily the shop had wrapped the closure tightly with parafilm.

Ouch-- but at least I've scratched the Glendullan 38yo off my list.

Ouch indeed! Glendullan at a younger age never really scratch any itch for me so I am glad to hear I can pass on the apparently painful 38yo!

I've been hunting a bottle since trying it last year-- completely different animal than the diluted standard Singleton of Glendullan range. It was hanging out for years at a North Carolina ABC store of all places.

Work in Progress #2 and #3. I figured it was either a ghost or a mistake when these showed up on an distributor inventory list, but I took the gamble…

Wish I could get anything from Cambeltown in our area...we currently appear to be a Cambeltown free zone! ☹️

Still picking up bottles that have been lingering of shelves for years-- nothing new seems to be making its way through.

That 21yr Glencadam is a really nice dram. I recently picked up the 13yr, 21yr and 25yr Glencadam. I haven’t tried the 25yr yet, but I’m a fan of the 13yr and 21yr.

I’d like to give this a try.  It’s not available in the states and seems relatively pricing in France.  Pricing in France for Scotch is over the place.

The standard 46% ABV 10yo is available Stateside (readily on NYC shelves) -- it's the Batch No. 1 CS 10yo (62.4% ABV) that you'd have to reel in, should there still be bottles banging around. There's also a recent Archives (Whiskybase) 21yo release that came into the States about a week before the Covid shutdown that you can probably still track down should you want to try an ex-bourbon version.

Springbank & Glengyle releases have all but disappeared down here as well, the last new bottle that came in was the Longrow 11yo First Fill Sauternes from 2019. No sign/word of the 2020 Longrow Red release at all.

The two semi-dusty Kilkerran WIP bottles I posted about were from 2010 and 2011, and got lost the warehouse for a spell.

That SPICA 40yo blend looks the treat-- I've been very pleased with the few North Star releases that I've obtained. Interesting that it shares the name with the classic Alfa Romeo mechanical fuel injection that has caused me so much grief over the years.

Campeltown completely shut down because of Covid, and has only recently opened up, so that's a 3-ish month closure. We're seeing restocks of Springbank stuff (10/15/18) on the shelves here so hopefully that'll extend through to you guys soon.

Thanks for the news. Unfortunately they'll arrive with hefty tariff tacked on-- which is why I've been seeking out bottles that have been hanging around overlooked.

first supplies bought locally in 5-6 months... curbside pickup seems to be working well.

I have to admit to knowing very little about Glen Scotia prior to this showing up at my local shop.  After a little due diligence, it was clear that these needed to come home with me.20200829_155726_HDR.thumb.jpg.c715867f7cf08e229188846dc02bf005.jpg
