Marekv8
An extremely mixed bag. Had an opportunity to SBS the new Lagavulin Offerman Guinness finished 11 yo against last years 11 yo at the LS-- the finishing really shows itself with chocolate notes and a dialing down of the spanky peat. Should do well.

The BenRiach 21, 25 and 30 plus a Glenglassaugh 30. Can’t imagine what they’d roll for as bar pours.

B.B. Babington
I went for Russel's 13 year and failed. I don't handle rejection nor disappointment well, not well at all. Here's what I came home with.

Marekv8
Another odd one off the list. Casked on my birthday back in 1984– and sitting on a Los Angeles LS shelf since 2014.

B.B. Babington
Lagavulin 11 because Ron Swanson said it's good. This is finished in Guinness barrels, should be interesting. Many Parks & Rec sitcom episodes featured Ron drinking Lagavulin and he even visited the distillery. Nick Offerman, Ron, was instigator for this concoction and has commercials out, especially on youtube and such. In the commercials it's father son project and apparently that's true as Nick created it to honor his father for father's day 2021. Not sure when I'll get into it, but promise to give some taste notes on or before father's day. I'm tempted to save uncorking till father's day.

GaryT
Despite hauling plenty of whiskey (mostly bourbon) back from Michigan, couldn't help but make a quick stop at The Party Source where a bottle of the latest Springbank 12yr Cask Strength found a new home. Ironically stopped to look at their independent bottlings, but on a budget and couldn't pass this one up. I absolutely love Batch 15, which is 70% sherry & 30% bourbon. From what I've read, this latest batch is 45% sherry, 25% bourbon, 25% burgundy and 5% port. Looking forward to a blind SBS with the batch 15 sometime this summer!
Auracom
3 or so years ago i passed up the 2016 Springer 21 OB US Single Cask and mercifully stumbled upon it during a spree today... yeah i wasn't repeating that mistake. also some prior 12 CS and a couple random dusty's. i suspect the Skye blend will be good, the Pig's is a complete gamble.
