Felt so good I picked up  one 4R PS OESQ bottled May 2022. 10 yrs 4 months.  First 4R PS I’ve seen here in over a year.  Going to be a good Halloween and T’giving in my house.  Did I mention the EW red label 101 12 yr at a little more than distillery price?  Best one day purchase since well before Covid, and I won’t actively go shopping/hunting until next year.

 

Yeah, I’m bragging.  I’m just so happy that I had to.

I am starting to "hear about" not necessarily see more 4R PS lately.  Just for reference purposes as I am slightly intrigued, would you mind sharing the price on the 4R?  PM is ok if you prefer.  I am seeing bottles discussed in the $84.99 to $119.99 price range depending on the retailer.

VPB100 is one of our favorites and I've never seen it around here.  The 86 & 90 proof can be had easily enough.   

I like the EW Red label but, I can't get past the price.      I thought it was pretty cool that they included a pour of it at the EW Speakeasy tour a few years ago.

Yeah, I'm always looking for the VOB 100.  I only have one left and I think I picked it up in KY.  I also got a chance to taste the EW red label on the speakeasy tour.  I did like it but balked at the price.  That is one that I do regret not picking up.

When we go to KY, it's kind of our thing to buy VOB 100 for the hotel room.  There's nothing like sipping some VOB out of a plastic cup

I saw 3-4 today but passed as I have a case and left them for the next guy.  On the positive side, that got me a promise of a WFP-SP from a new manager at a local store.  2-3 weeks and we’ll see if she is a person of her word.

A friend and I each just ordered a bottle of the new Willett 8-Year Wheated to pick up tomorrow.  I was stunned to find these since any stores near me sold out immediately or have them at museum pricing.  Hopefully it's worth the very high MSRP, but if not it sounds like we can always trade the other for 1-2 bucket list bottles.

It's funny what you can and can't get, depending on your location. It all seems so random.  There are two liquor stores within ten miles of my house where VOB 100 can be purchased for $20 a bottle. Maybe I need to buy a few cases and make a trip East to help some of you guys out!

TW in Carmel, IN has WTRB for $36.  Got 8, plenty still left over for the rest of you.  I did not think I'll see that price again and I know I'll drink & share them.  You people have truly corrupted me.  Also got a Pure Kentucky XO at $37, the trip to Willett this summer got me interested in it, if not quite hooked just yet.

 

Passed on WRDO at $45, Blade & Bow $45, and MMCS liter at $40.  Good bourbons at good prices, but I'd not likely drink them.

 

As my tastes start to gell I do hesitate to stock up when I see a deal on something I know I like.  Between RR SiB and WTRB, I definitely feel like part of the Flock.  But I'm not bourbon-monogamous.  Weller Whoredom and other cult memberships are still developing.

WRDO at $ 45 is a great price.  Never seen it that low here in Ohio.  I would have been on that like a Bum on a ham sandwich....lol
