Last time I saw them the label looked the same as the regular SB and it had a tag around the neck denoting it was a barrel pick. It now has a different label designating it is a "Private Barrel Selection". The ABV is the same at 55%. The dates of distilling, dumping, and bottling are on the back. This one is 9+ y/o. I snagged one on vacation in June. I wish I bought a couple, but there was no room in our luggage. It's very good !
Skinsfan1311
I've been doing pretty good at the whole "not buying whiskey" thing, but I could not pass this up. He does good to great picks and I had no problem spending $161.00 for the pair. Every JDSBBP that I've purchased, picks or otherwise, have been excellent and I'm sure that these will be too.
fishnbowljoe
Not technically a purchase, but….. My wife got her hair done this morning. On the way home she stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few snacks for later. It’s once again “girls day” at the Cubs game. My wife, our niece and our granddaughter are going to the game tonight. Anyway, my wife took a look in the liquor department of the grocery store. There was one lone bottle of BT on the shelf. She bought it for me. Yeah, she’s a keeper. Has been for 42 years. On another note, the “Buffalo corral” on the shelf of my liquor cabinet is looking much better. It held around 15 bottles or so of BT long ago. With various things going on over the last few years, my bottles of BT dwindled to a mere 3. Things have gotten much better over the last year and a half or so. I now have 9 bottles of BT in “the corral” and 1 on my open shelf. “Ahhhh. Much better.”

fishnbowljoe
We had to take a drive a bit out of town this morning to deliver our nieces purse. She left it in our car last night after the Cub’s game. As per the usual, we stopped at a LS on the way home. Yeah, I know…..
Thomm
Big boy bottle of Wild Turkey 101 on the way home from work tonight. I had recently noticed a proliferation of Turkey expressions in my possession (WTKS, RR SiB, WTRB, 101 Rye, etc) but no nod to the bird that made Kentucky famous. Had to rectify that situation.

smokinjoe
Out at lunch today, and Mr. Beam’s Old Grand Dad 114 and Old Tub hitched a ride with me to the house for a visit. Typically, when they visit, it’s like they’re here…then POOF, they’re gone! Luckily I know where to pick them up for another visit later…
LW25
Just checked in on lunch break at my favorite local store. Hadn't been in there in 3 weeks due to work/vacation/illness. Wanted a bottle of Smoke Wagon Uncut the Younger...sold out. Ok let me grab a New Riff then.....nope, sold out. How about a nice HH BiB? Rounded the corner and yep, it's sold out too. Ok fine, I'll break down and buy another bottle of their EC Private Barrel, it was $80 but it was really really good. Nope, they sold out of it while I was away... just one of those days where no matter what I thought of, it was gone already Ended up settling on a Still Austin Cask Strength (Musician one) as consolation. Haven't had anything from SA yet so I knew I'd buy this eventually...
Kepler
I picked up the Chattanooga Bonded Fall 2019 release. It was on sale for $39.99 which I believe is a very good price. Will open it this weekend.

VWIndy
I tried the Holliday Rickhouse proof Soft Red Wheat last night. What a treat! At 116 proof it is a bit ethanol forward. I guess you should expect it at such a high proof. Once you got throught the ethanol rush it is fantastic. Layers of smooth wheat and delicious oak. For $65 it is really enjoyable. Cheers my friends
Anwalt
So one of the few drops PR gets was Michters. Had a few extra 10y bourbons '24's. $173 each, all in with taxes. Traded for 1 ER, 1 WSR, 3 OWA. My "accounting": 1) $23 to the WSR; 2) $30 to the ER; and 3) $40 each for the OWA's. My parents thought the trade was a drug deal in a gas station parking lot and were Concerned. Dad thinks he'll stick with Scotch & Irish. Swapped a M10 rye (also $173 all in) for Bookers 2021-3, 2022-2, and 2022-4, so $58 each. Happy. That's how one gets Stuff Not Sold in PR. Use what ya got.
Bret Bret
Visiting eastern Long Island and found this at a not too bad price. Came across half a dozen others that would easily go to the ‘ what bourbon did you pass on’ thread. Still happy I got it though.
Davesnothere
I'm still kicking myself for only picking up one of the Baker's. I really enjoy it, but It's usually around $75 in these parts and while I quite like it, I don't think it's worth twice the price of Knob Creek 9 (which I also enjoy) and to me have a very similar profile. Anyway, it was on sale for $34.99, I should have picked up at least a couple of bottles. The Little Book was an impulse buy.

The last bottle I bought was years ago and was $37.99. A couple of places here have it for $54.99 and $59.99. I liked Baker’s, but it’s a pass for me at current prices.
