I was in the Army Ranger School in 1967, and one of the Ranger School cadre had a 1967 Shelby GT350 Mustang baby blue with white stripes. The Shelbys had these little chrome posts sticking up through the hood with circle clips inserted through the posts' eyes, ostensibly to keep the hood from flying up at high speeds. Not sure why Four Roses introduced Single Barrel, but pretty sure it wasn't 1960 (I didn't think they were even selling Four Roses in the states during that period). Though the episode aired in 2014, it was probably producted 2013 or even late 2012. Harry in WashDC Posted January 30, 2020 Share Posted January 30, 2020 "The Shadow" (1994) w/Alec Baldwin as Lamont. Movie is set in the (late) 1930s (based on the taxi - see below). About 30 minutes in, the EVIL Shiwan Khan (last son of Genghis and played masterfully by John Lone who cut his chops at age 7 in the Peking Opera) has emerged from his silver coffin and asks Lamont for "bourbon". Unfortunately for us, Lamont pours from a decanter into regular Old Fashioned glasses so no label is visible. Both chug their 1.4 or so OZ in one swallow and lick their lips. Lamont uses a "Radio Cab" driven by Moses (Peter Boyle) Shrevnitz, the cab being a 1936 Cord 810 Westchester. This cast is chuck full of character actors and second bananas - particularly but not exclusively Asian actors - that we all know and love, many of whom have more than 150 credits under their IMDB names. They interview the Dallas offensive coordinator Hal Mumme on the sideline and after the interview is over the ESPN analysts mentioned that coach Mumme enjoys his bourbon.
