  2. Saw a bottle of the Old Ezra 7 BS going for $79.99 today. Is this a ripoff or what?
  3. Around here, the stores have to keep the flavored CR locked up in the glass cabinet.
  4. I bought this in Mesa, Arizona. I've tried searching for everything under "always parched" and only come up with a podcast and I didn't see anything about them doing a barrel pick.

    What’s on the menu????

    You are killing me!
  6. At first, I saw 10 years and suspected this was one from a few years back (when WFE was sourced barrels). But no, the label says "Distilled, Aged and Bottled by Willett". So I guess that makes it a fairly recent bottling of some of their own early stuff.
  7. I’ll join Clermont Clan tonight, JBDC in the glass.
  8. Hi Ken. Welcome to SB. The “Always Parched” label would seem to offer a clue to the provenance of this single barrel. Please share where you purchased this bottle from, and maybe we can help you out!
  9. Hello, I recently purchased a WFE purple top. It's barrel 2882 and can't find any information on it online... Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance!

What Bourbon Are You Drinking Spring 2025?

Jim Beam SiB in the glass...

    So, whatcha smokin?

Another Punch. Check out the cool pic that we found yesterday, (ignore the goofball in the reflection) Look closely at the frame...it resembles a tobacco leaf. If you look very closely, right above the signature, "Cuba" is lightly embossed on the mat.
  14. Me, too. Luckily, I travel to our company’s plant in South Carolina, so I can pick it up there. Never seen it here, in Georgia. Its heavy, juicy, prototypical, Beam notes remind me of the Beam Bonded from several years back. BB still remains one of my favorite all-time Beam expressions. This is right there with it.
  15. Gotta keep this one on the bar. It's one of my favorite Beam expressions.
  16. We need to get them hooked on Crown Royal, they might lose their minds...all those different colors!
  17. Guys, I was at Walmart today and saw this. It would be perfect for clear ice. Cheap, small enough to fit in the freezer without taking up too much space, and big enough to make a few weeks worth (give or take) of ice. Heck, I may go back and get one. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Igloo-9-QT-Laguna-Ice-Chest-Cooler-Red/681417013?classType=VARIANT&adsRedirect=true
  18. Bwahahaha! It's almost embarrassing to buy whiskey with those little bags or boxes. I tried a couple pours last night. It's pretty damn good. Not $64.00 good, but good. I prefer the HH BiB, both the 6 & 7 year versions, over this. I'll revisit this one later. That said, I won't be running out to replace them when they're gone, unless they come to their senses and drop the price. We all know that ain't gonna happen!

Just noticed this label says 1L....is this actually how it will be released?
  20. But what would the taters think about that? In my neck of the woods, they are more excited about scoring a bottle that comes with the green velvet bag, than what it tastes like. Evidently not all bottles come with the bag (only so many bags are included in a case lot), so it has become a sport amongst the taters to chase the velvet bag.
  21. Following @fishnbowljoe' lead with Blanton's as my first bourbon pour in the new summer thread. I'm in a bottle clearing mode, so my 2019 Blanton's (on the left) is on the chopping block. I've called this bottle a 'honey barrel' because this one has been about as good as any recent Blanton's is llikely going to be. Took the time to do a SBS with another open bottle (2018 on the right). The 2019 still beats it easily. I'm going to miss the 2019 bottle when it's gone because I just don't see myself purchasing any new ones at the current msrp.
  22. Today was our quarterly state ABC drop. The last time I got a Weller 107 about a year ago, it was $40ish. Today it was $58.99. The old Fitz was $59.99. Today was a work in the garden beer day so I'll try the old Fitz tomorrow.
  23. Knob Creek 12 never disappoints. And then, suddenly, it does. When the bottle is empty. Uh-oh!
  24. When I blend those two I do 2 parts WTRB to 3 parts RR10. That brings it to roughly 100.72 proof. So it's a more complex WT101.
  25. Frey Ranch Farm Strength in the glass. Such a good pour.

    So, whatcha smokin?
