    Man Down-Man Up

  3. I appreciate that, but I have a small stash from a few yrs ago that I prepared for the discontinued distribution of said juice. I have picked a a couple btls since to compare to my good ole days btls.. Lol Thank you for your generous offer. Now let's talk WELLER'S! LOL JK
  4. Today
  5. Well it’s pretty easy to find here so I can hook you up if you need me to
  6. The BiB is pretty easy to find in most markets, as far as I know. I have not had a problem acquiring one any where. The SiB is another story. As stated above it went KY only for some time. Sad for most of us. Maybe not those that had it when it was aged for a longer period of time( not me) but some of the longer in the tooth folks here. jk Just those that have been in the bourbon world longer than others. I can't find the SiB like I used to 3+yrs ago( almost anywhere) but it is showing up now days but more hit or miss. This was/is one of my favorite Sunday morning oatmeal pours. Pour it into your oatmeal instead of water. (Not really but I think it could easily be done and enjoyed) I am just not THAT GUY, yet.
  7. They did go KY only for a lil while. Not sure exactly when it went "national" again but my guess is in the last yr or so. For how long? We will see. Looks like they saw the boom bust before most of us. Happy to see it again!

  9. This evening the choice is good old OGD 114. This is IMO, one of the best, very affordable pours out there. Love this stuff.
  10. Interesting. I can get it at my local total wine. Just checked their website. This is the one from my collection I think we are talking about?
  11. Anwalt meant to say the mutant yeast was Four Roses, not the OF BB.
  12. They didn't used to be hard to find before they were discontinued in Texas, so I hope they will be an every day shelter again. Found an article below about them becoming a "Kentucky Only" bottling from 3 years ago. Evan Williams Single Barrel Is Now Kentucky-Only
  13. Sounds like DFW is priced about the same. This one was $34.99
  14. Larceny, C922. Rightly hailed as quite good at the time, now forgotten and available for more or less MSRP. From such "dregs" does wonder arise. Silly taters.

What Bourbon Are You Drinking Spring 2025?

Catching up, the past few evenings: OGD 114, Chattanooga Batch 35 Centenery cask ( finally getting a handle on this and is damn good!!). Plus a new one from Glenns Creek. the Cuervito vivo which they can't use anymore due to a cease and desist from Jose Cuervo, whatever....the bottling is distillate formulated in conjunction with Bob Robinson former Old Crow plant superintendent to get as close as they could to the OC distilled on that site many years prior. According to Bourbon Joe, it is good but "it ain't Old Crow". I wouldn't know, but I can say it is good. That's a trio of wildly different flavor profiles and all delicious.

    Happy Derby Day 2025

I love that horse! See above.
  17. A little early in the CC year. Calumet 18! I hope the bourbon is half as good as the package and bottle.

What Bourbon Are You Drinking Spring 2025?

The BB was the 2013 vintage.
  19. Was it the 16yr or 17yr single barrel?
  20. really? Wow, I had no idea. I received this Evan Williams and the Bottled In Bond as a gift. I use them as mixers. I had no idea they were hard to find
  21. Nice timing, Anwalt! It is, after all, National Nurses Day today.
  22. I too have been seeing those around. And I too wish they were a lil higher proof. What price are they fetching in your area? 33-38 is what I've been seeing.
  23. Leipers Fork isn’t far from Nashville and it’s a cool stop, definitely worth a visit/tasting/tour.
  24. I've started seeing those now and then on shelves. A little higher proof ~ HMcK B.I.B. (seeing some of those too.)
  25. I think the standard bottle size should be one liter. If alternative smaller sizes are available, that's ok too. Changing from 750ml to 700ml just seems like chiseling the consumer. (Chiseling was a practice of shaving a little off the bottom of standardized weights, in order to cheat each customer just a small amount, barely noticeable at the time.) It's all a matter of economies of scale. Minus 50ml (a good pour) from a one bottle might not seem like much, but consider how that works out per case, pallet, truck load, etc ... Now we're talking real volume. When I see a 700ml bottle on a shelf, I feel irritated, and don't want to buy it.
