This is interesting, but not my favorite. I’m glad I picked it up.

I sipped on 3 different EC SiB BP's last night. They were as blind as I could do on my own. A LQ store is doing a private select of these. I was to be part of the crew in the decision making (would have been my 1st time in doing so)but as I have the least flexible work schedule( slave to the clock) I was not able to make it on the day everyone else could. So I missed out on the actual process but the LQ owner was kind enough to save samples for me to taste and give my opinion after the matter. I ended up selecting the popular barrel! Although I had no input, I do feel like I was actually part of the decision seeing how I picked with the majority of the group. I feel honored that the owner considered me to be in the group of decision makers and also that he saved samples for me when I could not make the scheduled time for this process. I had fun nonetheless. Now we wait. Maybe we will get lucky and it takes HH a year to bottle this and we can have our own amnesia btl.

It is not. I ordered some bourbon from overseas that from my favorite online store that was having some sales and I threw in a couple of bottles of Scotch not available here so I could get the biggest bang for my buck with shipping.

Sorry to hear. My opinion lower back surgery is better than cervical. And I am no doctor. 1 thing I do know is if you go with surgery post rehab is key and it isn't just a short term rehab, it is a lifestyle from then on. Confirm with your physician but walk and continue to walk to keep those muscles strong and able to support your spine.

For any of y’all interested in an inexpensive and easy method to get absolutely crystal clear ice cubes at scale, you need to consider Whammie’s method he shares, here. I’ve been using it for a couple of years, and it works great. I’m taking an early pour today of WT101, and looked through the cube and saw the diamond pattern of the bottom of my thick plastic rocks “glass”through the cube. Clear as day!

I’m having a mid-day pour of a 2017 GTS. I just got done with the orthopedic surgeon who advised me the I have a broken lower back (small fractures , disk compression and some arthritis). She also advised me the the mri detected a kidney stone. Insult to injury. Now we have an appointment with a neurosurgeon to determine the path forward. I may need a few today. Not the news we wanted.

Some of you will remember me lamenting the loss of my local liquor store a few years back that was owned by a friend. Ever since then I have been shut out of any LE bourbon due to not having the energy to try to "build the relationship" with another store due to most of them selling at secondary prices. There is one small store I've been going to for staples and I appear to have crossed the threshold of being recognized as a regular because when I went in on Saturday the owner asked me if I had gotten the Old Fitzgerald 7r BIB yet. He was keeping them in back and retrieved one for me, green bag and all, and charged me MSRP. Perhaps my luck has turned.
