    Empty Bottle Support Group 2025

Bottle clearing mode, three more for the bin. I still have replacements for all of these but even if I didn't I don't think I'd replace any of these if I had to buy them today. Blanton's has become too expensive for what it is (although if all of them tasted like this 2019 honey barrel did, it would be worth it. Unfortunately they don't). Not a fan of the barrel proof Old Fo. Just give me 1920 for less $ and call it a day. The twelve year 1792 is pretty darn good Barton 12 yr whiskey for the price, I paid $50 for this one. But it's too hard to find for the reward in taste, and I'm sure the price has gone up.

Indiana gets the regular BT Bourbon. We get a good amount, then it disappears for a while. Usually not too long and more shows up. Also we have seen more or less uninterrupted supply of Sazerac Rye. Both can be had ~ $20+. Right now, the Saz Rye is the one BT product that checks all the boxes for me. No way I will pay the new prices for some of their other stuff I used to buy: can't find Weller or mash bill #2 brands anyway - so kind of makes not buying it easy.

In VA we're still several years behind when it comes to any BT products. I pop into a store on occasion just for the heck of it and still haven't even seen regular BT...but there is usually a spot on the shelf for it. I guess we're making some progress.

What Bourbon Did You Purchase Summer 2925?

Heehee! FNBJ’s Flux Capacitor must have recently picked up some A grade Plutonium from…somewhere… “Mysterious man viewed on pile of rubble just north of Tehran on Sunday”. —Washington Post
  7. Glad to see bourbon is still reasonably priced in the future. Also, Binny’s is still around…for better or worse.

What Bourbon Did You Pass On 2025?

The OF100 rye? What's "the good price?" Around here, Baltimore Metro area, it can be had for $24.00. I can't imagine finding it much cheaper....
  16. Ya never know. lol I would try some at that price point of $36/$40.
  17. It's a good marketing gig. My eyes were drawn to those bagged up bottles. On another note, one of our local LS had a bottle in a glass case and wanted $99.00 for it!
  18. It could happen! Here locally it WAS in the 60-75 range for a while but as @JCwhammie pointed out, its now 36. Its good. I like it. Its worth 36. Not much more.
  19. Price go down, I have to laugh at that. I don't think I've ever seen that happen around here. lol HH and Henry McKenna has shown up though. I think $50 and $70 a bottle.

What Bourbon Did You Pass On 2025?

I was grocery shopping and spotted a two bottles of Old Forester Rye. At this store, to get the good price, you have to buy six bottles at once. Sorry to say, I could not find four other bottles I really wanted. I sent an email to the manager to see if she can come up with more of the OF Rye.
  21. I'm pretty sure the Old Ezra is the standard Heaven Hill that Luxco sources. So for $80, think about all the Heaven Hill brands you have available - high end bottles, or multiples of mid shelf.
  22. I definitely wouldn't buy it for that. I'm in St Louis, and the price a local shop has is $36. Wait a while until the price goes down in your area.
  23. This is the most I have spent (49.99$)on that btl. I wouldn't spend more than that. This is the 1st time I have bought one since 2019ish??? The price skyrocketed and I never took another look. But like everything your budget, palate, desire,.....varies and only you can decide if it is a good deal at 70$+... IMO, i'd wait and see if the price drops, if I wasn't clear enough. Lol Side note, I haven't tried the rye because of the price. I just figured it was over priced due to the whiskey craze. Anyone have an opinion on the OE 7yr rye?
  24. Hey if it's there I'd chose one too. But like you, I'm not going out of my way to look for one.
  25. Years ago, you could get Bulleit in these bags. It didn't cost any extra and regular ol' Bulleit has never been tater-bait. It's used to crush ice and works really well.
  26. Having a belated birthday pour. 2018 OFBB in my glass.
