And I notice that 18 Year bottle is also only 700 mL. Seeing more and more of this in new special releases unfortunately. I tolerate it with scotch (so many of those have already converted to 700 mL) because the scotch country of origin standard bottle size is 700, but I'm less forgiving of American whiskey companies. It's purely a shrinkflation situation as I predicted. -

The 15 year is my favorite Dickel... -
I wonder if this will be a rebranding of the previous 18 yr Marriage? We've got ER17 and Saz 18 already so that age range is already proven for BT products. But you could say it is already represented and they don't want half the new BTAC line to be the same age, so probably more likely we'll get something in the 12-14 yr range. And I say "we'll get..." as if this wont be another unobtanium bottle

New Maker's Mark Wheat Whiskey - Star Hill Farm.

In case it was unclear, the Heaven Hill 19 is not a bourbon, but rather a wheat whiskey. -
nice. still, randomly, one of the few bottles i have not had a chance to buy or sample. Seen it for $450 and up. can't do that. enjoy!
-
Be magnanimous like me. A bottle like this should be opened and shared with family and friends. Like I do…

Thank you. That's a little high for me. That said, it is a 19 year and I do like wheated bourbons -

A pre-dinner birthday pour of WT- Generations tonight. -
Went to a bottle share last week and someone brought the new Keeper's Release. I liked it more than I thought I would because it tasted almost like a toasted or double oaked bourbon...no idea if it is one or not...but it didn't wow me. As I posted earlier, Makers Mark largely misses for my palate, and I've mostly learned that wheaters in general are like that for me. I tend to gravitate to the bold and spicy notes from ryes more. So don't take this as a condemnation of the Keepers Release either, there were several at the party that enjoyed it.

It’s pretty decent bourbon. Open it up and have a pour. Please post some tasting notes.

I like your strategy. -
Boss Hog is always high. Seems about normal for that to me, but I haven't checked prices on it years.

Would you care to share the approximate price? Being a 700ml bottle it does seem likely that this is a surplus bottle originally destined for the international market, so curious what those sell for. -
Kepler started following Tin Cup 10, 14 year and Knob Creek 21 Year
-
I'm not familiar with that program ... does it involve shipping? If so, I'm sure Texas is not eligible in that program.
-
I tried one of the earlier Tin Cups at some random store sample (I don't think it was age stated and I'm sure if it was it was not anywhere near 10 years) but I wasn't impressed enough to buy a bottle. Curious, does it say "straight whiskey" on the label? I could be misremembering but their first products were not straight whiskey if I recall.
