Not today's victims but victims nonetheless of the last several days. All were low volume kills.
  3. Today
  4. Loving the 15y - `7y Hardins Creeks. Beam aged goodness.
  5. So, even though the B or C batches appear to be aged longer and are at marginally higher proofs, all of that doesn't make much difference when it comes to ECBP's?

Coincidentally, about 4 minutes before I read your post, I googled "The Rocket City". Was in the dark, just as you were. Then I came across your post and the related replies. Actually quite funny!
  7. I've tried quite a few of them. All of the local stores in my area.. I'd have to venture out a bit farther to my county/region. A bit difficult as I don't own a car, right now.
  8. Yes. I know. The Indy Speedway ain't like a road course.
  9. Drank quite a bit of this delicious stuff the past couple weeks while on vacation. The only whiskey options available were basically Jameson and Jack. Nothing against either of those but the beer was a much better value for the money everywhere we went.
  10. I would be happy with the VOB 100PF. Great bourbon at 14$ ish. I wish it were widely distributed. But not to worry, I brought several back from KY. After having the 100pf, I don't mess with the lower proof versions. Nowhere near the flavor as the 100pf.
  11. I have a couple different store picks from 3+ yrs ago or so. One was very good coming in at 123pf, glad I grabbed a spare for the bunker where it now rests (wish i would have grabbed a couple more from this store). The other sp 121.4pf was good and i grabbed a spare of it as well. I don't take notes so can't give you any details, just that I enjoyed both of them enough to grab a backup. Suggest you open it and give it a try, if you like it, go get another or 2. Let us know what you think of it. I look forward to your take on it.
  12. Saw a video on YouTube from someone who showcased a Texas Bourbon Distillery tour. It would be easy for me to do this. Anyone have any experience with this?
  13. I love seeing the Cubs logo on that bottle of Maker's. I see the Astros ones down in South Texas
  14. I picked up a Blue Note Juke Joint Uncut, Unfiltered at my local Spec's yesterday. 118.1 proof. Anyone tried this one?
  15. Secondary market that I've seen was between $200-$250.
  16. Monaco has 9 right turns out of 19, and speeds as low as 30 mph.
  17. Those both look excellent. I love a PX cask single malt and Balvenie and Glenmorangie both make great Scotch. I have a Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX (original release) that I am still sipping now and again. Great bottle. That is the bottle that got me interested in PX finished and matured Single Malts. Enjoy in good health and let us know what you think.

Virginia ABC still has tons of it. Also, the 108 proof version replaced the 95 proof version, so the lower proof one would definitely be old stock. I haven't had it since the proof increase, but would be interested if I ever see it at a bar. There were also picks of the 108 proof version, but I was told at Beam that, at least currently, those would only be special requests by important accounts, as opposed to a broadly available option in the pick program.
  19. VROOOOM! Go Fast. Turn Left. Rinse, Repeat.
  20. HA! I see what ya' did there, Joe. BT: Never a bad idea.
  21. I have no idea, but $80 feels like secondary pricing for that product. I'm probably wrong, but that's my gut feeling...
  22. True. I can get Stellum "Black" rye and bourbon for $39.99 now locally. For those of us that experienced American whiskey *before* the bubble, these new prices seem about right for what we are getting. People: Do NOT overpay for bourbon and rye! Prices will return back to sane levels very soon. Just be patient.
  23. So how many of those events are you attending? Lol Indy 500 is easily my pick of those two. I'll definitely be watching. But only after the Monaco Grand Prix in the morning. Memorial Day is hands down the "Holy Grail" DAY for auto racing fans...
  24. How many different stores did you actually try? Did you try any small local "Mom & pop" stores? Your experience seems like common experiences when folks only shop at the "big box" retailers ...
  25. Started the evening with Maker's Mark PS. Then went to EW12, taking inspiration from @NDN98 's post. Good idea, as that was fantastic. Now unwinding with good old simple HH6BiB. Happy Memorial Day weekend to all you SB'ers.
  26. From yesterday. I plead the 5th. Uh….750.
