What Beer Are You Drinking In 2025

I know! It was’t until I looked at the can of this beer, that I noticed that CC is doing some things in California.
  3. Today
  4. Mexico USMNT this evening in the Gold Cup final. Working on a reverse jinx by popping the Mexican lager. TBH, I was just looking for an easy drinker in the July sun. But let’s go boys! Last big game until next years WC. And nice to settle the noise that had been surrounding the team.
  5. Good to see Creature Comforts on the other side of the country.
  6. SFTB at 132.9 proof. Happy.

    So, whatcha smokin?

I gave my buddy in FL a harder to get bottle and he returned the deed with a gift pack of Pappy. Yeah, it's the wrong Pappy. I've always coveted the 20yr.
  8. I looked at a store in West Hampton. Would have been crazy, but I did like the store a lot. One heck of a drive from out here though.

    Cocktail Hour - 2025

MC is, hands-down, my favorite freezer whiskey...

What Bourbon Are You Drinking Summer 2025?

I enjoy wheated bourbons, and am not crazy about ryes. That's why I keep passing on the rye. You're not the first person to say they didn't think much of this wheated.
  15. I live in Rockville Centre, but my store is in Sea Cliff, near Glen Cove. You?

What Bourbon Are You Drinking Summer 2025?

Where about are you on Long Island?
  17. After reading this, I just decided to retaste it and reassess my price. I was already low for the market at $159.99, but I still just lowered it to $139.99. If the cost is this high from the distributor next year, I will be passing even on the wholesale side of things.
  18. Needed to add some bottles back to the cabinet and started with this one. More to open soon! Cheers everyone!

    Empty Bottle Support Group 2025

Poured the last of this one into the decanter last night. Glad I still have a few more handles from the "Old Days" of EC. Will be sad when they are all gone.

My LS is asking $199 for it. I've had the last 5 years and have liked those, but a hard pass.

    Empty Bottle Support Group 2025

Said adios to these 2 tonight. I enjoyed the Old Fitz 7, but I will not be in a hurry to buy another WT 8-year-old. While it is slightly better than the normal Wild Turkey 1O1, it’s not that much better to justify the price.
  22. Last pour of the night. Out back watching the illegal fireworks with the family. Great day. Started with a 5K race, the dog won Best in Show at our little cities annual Pet Show, and finished the day off at a pool party. 4th of July’s never get old!

What Bourbon Are You Drinking Summer 2025?

I took some BT in a small flask, tossed it in a cooler. I took a few small pulls from it at the party and we just got home. I didn't feel like pouring it back in the bottle, so I emptied it into glass. I haven’t had chilled BT in a long time. It's pretty damn good...

    What’s on the menu????

I burned some steaks on the grill for the fam. Had those with some grilled "little potatoes" slathered with butter, and some dill pickles. Pours all around of whichever was preferred. We played some Euchre afterward. All enjoyed the afternoon/evening. Happy Independence Day!!!

What Bourbon Are You Drinking Summer 2025?

Finished off another "sample bottle"; Col. EH Taylor 4-Grain from about 5 or 6-years ago. Not a particularly complex pour; but, a nice one nonetheless.

    Bourbon MEME's

  28. They are a little pricey, but I have paid more for whiskey I liked a lot less (unfortunately). I usually prefer wheated bourbons, but I didn't love the HH GTG Wheated. I am not big on ryes, but this HH GTG rye is very drinkable, at least for my palate, but the GTG traditional bourbon (blue and white label) is by far my favorite of the 3 and probably the only 1 I would buy again.
