OGD BiB in the glass...

The jury is still out. The initial pour was okay, but I wasn't overly impressed. Palates change, so I'll revisit this one down the road.

I hate it when that happens. No wait! MM up for the evening.

More cork problems tonight. In this case, the cork keeps falling out of the bottle causing bourbon to spill into my glass.

What did ya think? I've tried a couple UN products and liked some more than others, but didn't hate/spit out any.

That 4RYL is mouthwatering. I put one of the several I picked up on sale last week in the freezer. Any day now . . ,. RE: umbrellas - took out a new one for the deck. SOMEthing ate the braided cotton line used to raise the umbrella skirt during the TWO years it was in the garage. No relatives came last year so I never put it up. Going to replace the old cotton line with some nylon clothes line I have left over from restringing pontoon boat bumpers. Shouldn't take more than a week to get it right. Better take that 4R with me when I start the job. And maybe a cot. A good thing about Summer is - 80 proofers with some ice fit right in to the cooling process after several hours of yardwork.

I wish I could give them a pass, but the store attendants knew I was in the store. One of the two gentlemen was very friendly and greeted me when I walked in the door. The other guy was stocking the whiskey / bourbon aisle and he kept crowding me as he walked by multiple times in the span of just a couple minutes. It was irritating and off-putting, so I just went to the counter to purchase the Russell's. He just let me stand there as he continued to stock the aisle so I left.

Forget pic. A HH 7 BIB was deposited in the big brown bin. A bottle of MM was also emptied, but it was refilled from a handle in the cabinet. Said handle might be gone in the near future.

Spent three days at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami for the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. 85 and sunny everyday with Florida humidity so I drank nothing but this and the regular Heineken all three days.

I didn't have a screw cap either. Crap! A biggly pour of WFE, followed by HH 7yr BIB while watching the Pacers-Knicks game. Should I have another wee bitty pour or just bitch about the officiating or both?

Perhaps, there was a situation at the store that took the attendant away. Try again tomorrow. Maybe, things will sort themselves out.

Yesterday I came across a Russell's Reserve barrel pic at a local store. I scooped one off the shelf, walked up to the register... and it was crickets. After several minutes of standing there all by my lonesome I left the bottle on the counter and walked out. I doubt I will ever return to that store again, as I'm not a fan of piss-poor customer service. No worries. I saved $74.99 plus tax. The Russell's single barrel store picks are getting pricey.

At least the final pour is a healthy one...

Returned to my Redwood Empire for last nights pour. Not CS just the regular octane but it’s a pleasant little pour. Nothing special but nothing off either. Good early week dram.

I was hoping she'd get an ER...but she wanted HER own Blanton's...so it's whatever.

I stopped by the same store after work yesterday, but it was to pick up a bottle of EC toasted that they had for the best price I've seen. It was cheap enough to finally get me to buy one to try. The employee said the blanton's and ER lasted about an hour after that email went out. I would not pay that price for blanton's anyway. I may have been tempted if they still had ER left, as that price was pretty close to msrp.
