I just set my 2 different bottles of Lot B side by side and the Autumn '08 label is lower than the other one.

Also the font of the 04.6084.01 is smaller than the 04.6084

Yeah, it probably is a label code.

I have the same number on several different Pappy's and Old Rip's.

But it is worth a try when trying to get the current release of Lot B to get the,

04.6084.01

over the,

04.6084

Also ask a high volume retailer about his inventory turn over.

They are label codes and revisions. I went down this path on the PVW 20yrs. PVW does a good job making it hard to distinguish between release years. As far as I can tell, the PVW 23yr is the only one with a distinct.. err ... distinction between runs.
