Sprecher is from Milwaukee (Glendale), so it should be available around there. The problem is that, while the root beer is everywhere, the other soft drinks aren't carried in as many place.

I've found the ginger ale a little light. I really like their cola, though. When work took me to Glendale I'd stop and pick up a couple of mixed cases for friends.

I don't think Vernor's claims to be ginger ale either, but I haven't seen any in a while and could be mistaken.

As Chuck says, they use the term Ginger Soda, but old bottles and ads do say "Drink Vernor's Ginger Ale". Do a Google image search on the phrase 'Vernor's Ginger Ale' and you'll see plenty of that from 50-60-70 years ago.
