barturtle
In short, No.Owensburg is not a place I know of, but Owensboro is.KBD doesn't currently distill. to include them you would also have to include Luxco (David Sherman) in St. Louis, as well as others. There are any number of small micro distilleries; Tuthilltown and Woodstone Creek to name just two. Some have product on the market, some are not at that stage yet.
JasonFalls
I know Hudson Bay Bourbon is distilled in Tuthilltown, N.Y. - http://www.tuthilltown.com/#bourbon.This page on Wikipedia also lists all the bourbons in the U.S. and has a separate section on those outside Kentucky:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bourbon_brands#American_Whiskey.2FBourbon_Brands

As for posting a link to wikipedia on this forum as a reference guide is close to laughable (not at you but as a higher/added level of information) Everything you could possibly want to know about bourbon is right here on Straightbourbon.com... The list of brands? Well  ...It doesn't come close to what's out there, especially dusties. The search function is most helpful and if ya still don't find what you're lookin' for---Just ask   We will get the answer's  Wikipedia is fine in most things but it's not the "go to" place for education on things bourbon... We've gone full circle with this issue on Wikipedia, several years ago. Straightbourbon.com is the #1 resource    Oh...and did I say SB.com is #1?   Yeah, I did     Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh    Bettye Jo
craigthom
Does anyone know for sure whether or not bourbon is being distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana? I think one of the Australian brands (Cougar?) was being distilled there before Pernod-Ricard shut it down.
barturtle
Does anyone know for sure whether or not bourbon is being distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana? It has been in the recent past, and quite possibly still is. However most of it has not been bottled as bourbon, but instead has been used in blended whiskey such as Seagrams 7.
Attila
Is it safe to assume that the Boston where Beam has its distillery is in Boston, KY and not Boston, MA? In short, No.Okay.Owensburg is not a place I know of, but Owensboro is.Doh!KBD doesn't currently distill. I thought that I read somewhere that they had something going already. Thanks for setting me straight. I look for information on when they plan to start distilling. Indeed SB is #1!

With SB.com being #1 why is it every time I turn around they keep adding something new the make this wonderful place even better! I didn't think it could get any better, yet Mr. Butler adds another feature I would have never thought of and yes I'll repeat myself! Even Better!Yeah!Tony

cowdery
Attila's list is good as far as it went. The only mistake was KBD. Also, the Angostura distillery in Owensboro won't be operating for another year or so.The rest can be solved by the following. There are no bourbon distilleries. There are whiskey distilleries which may or may not make bourbon. Jack Daniel's is a whiskey distillery that does not make bourbon, but does make another type of American whiskey. George Dickel is a whiskey distillery that might make bourbon. Angostura does have a distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, that is now operating. The facility is prmarily a GNS distillery, but there is a small whiskey distillery there, which may make bourbon. As for micro-distilleries, some of which make bourbon, they are in a completely different business and there is nothing to be gained by mixing them in with the majors, unless that is what you are interested in, but just about everything about the two types of distilleries is different, so it just makes sense to keep them separate. For one thing, I doubt that any of the small number of true micro-distillery bourbons is available in Japan.
Attila
Thanks again Chuck. Speaking of Dickel, I had some Dickel 12 this evening (for the first time). Mighty fine, that was.Speaking of available only in Japan, I had some MM Black (for the first time) this evening. Mighty fine, that was. Next time you are in Osaka, stop by Dolldress for a very nice selection of Bourbon in a very confusing environment. The name of the place might suggest as to why it is a confusing environment. barturtle
On that list I have 26 out of 70 listed. Does anyone here have all 70 to their credit?I wouldn't find it hard to believe that someone here could claim to have a bottle of everything on that list, but it is a fairly incomplete list. Looking at just the second entry you see Ancient Age, however there are five different bottlings under that label:Ancient Age 80Ancient Age 90Ancient Age 100Ancient Ancient Age 10yoAncient Ancient Age 10 StarThere are also older bottlings that have been under that label, such as Ancient Age Barrel 107.I wouldn't use that list as something to go by. pepcycle
That has to be one of the fairest price lists I've ever seen. Logical pricing and nothing at $200/shot. Nice Work to whoever put that list and pricing together.

Lost Pollito
The BBQ is solid in my opinion, and they have BT on tap. I'll be re-visiting soon, as the cubs crowd has returned home for hibernation.
ThomasH
Another tough choice would be which Beam to order off of the menu: white for 6.00, Choice for 6.00, or Black for 6.00. If I was sentenced to drink Beam, this would also be a no brainer!Thomas
