I havent looked at their label in a while so I need some help here..Who makes this bourbon and why is it bottled in California? It is excellent bourbon, but sending there to be bottled has to make the cost a lot higher..anyone?

The search function should be of great assistence to you. I believe that it has been discussed numerous times here.

Wathen's is a non-distiller producer. There is no way of knowing who made it, but if it still says Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, then it was one or more of the usual suspects.

Sorry Mozilla, dont have time to go hunting for things like that..thought that's what discussion boards were for..I dont post too often and I dont look back through months of threads to see if a topic has been brought up. If you dont want to answer the question, dont post..

You're really missing out, Cat. Not only is the search function a great way to get questions answered, you're sure to learn more than you thought to ask for. And if you use advanced search and search titles only, it doesn't take much more time than typing out a new post.

Sorry Wildcat,

You don't tell valued members of this forum like Mozilla that they're not allowed to post if they're not going to spoon feed you on demand.

The search is simple, fast and effective - just as he suggested.

I just typed "wathens" into the advanced search, specified titles only and was given 6 threads: yours, the two best sources for info, and three from the early days of this forum. Within one minute I had accessed all of the many posts I remembered from a few years back. The third thread "Wathens available again" discusses your questions in detail.

By the way, Wathens is bottled by Frank-Lin in San Jose, and you can read the reasoning as told to forum members by Charles Medley himself in the thread.

If you're really pressed for time, I'm always available to do your research for you, though my fee isn't cheap...let me know, I'll set you up an account. I just need some simple credit information, some references, your first born...usual stuff like that.

Hold on, here.

You write for information that you're too lazy to read for....and we are the ones who are childish?

I take this to mean that you do not require my services at this time. Please feel free to keep me in mind, so that if, in the future, you do find a need for a researcher, I am put up for consideration.

All right everyone, step away from the Wathen's thread; go take a walk, kick a Phillies fan, hug a Rays fan or something....

Don, searching is highly encouraged as we really do strive to keep the repeat threads limited but if you choose not to use it that is your choice. Just understand that very often the first response you'll get will be someone suggesting it, but often someone will chime in with some very helpful info like Roger did.

You do see how this makes you sound, right? "I can't be bothered to search, so do it for me or shut up."

Of the 20 threads Wildcatdon has started...14 have requested some info on bottles. I have taken part in answering 6 of them.

Where did I go wrong?

Ok..Let me try to smooth this out a bit..Virus I see what you are saying..But to Craigthorn and the rest let me tell you...I dont spend a lot of time on the board..I am not a very computer literate person so the search engine never really enters my mind..It has nothing to do with being lazy..My kids know way more about computers than I do. I just bring up a topic that comes to mind and I will post it and move on...I guess one thing I would point out that my mom taught me early on,is it's not always what you say but how you say it..And a lot of times typed messages can get out of sort because they can be taken different ways..See how Scratch worded his message to me on first page. That was a good post...Sarcasm abounds on different boards and someone always throws some in and ruins the thread. I guess this got ruined because several assumed I knew a lot about computers,so now its done...no harm..

Sorry this got screwed up. I will probably just read from now on...

Christian,

The more I read, the surer I am that this guy's a Phillies fan. Do you stand by your earlier post in its entirety?

Yours truly,
