I was curious about the old G&W brands...it appears they really shifted into industrial alcohol and acetone in the 1880s.....Old Rye and Toddy....forgotten now. I have drawn attention to this before, I believe. Extracts of her studies were placed on this interesting (satirical, humorous) site Jon has drawn attention to.
