what price for the van winkles?

What is the going price on the VW 15 yr and the I bottle VWFRR 13 yr? I have seen both recently but well over $50. Is this for real? I hope it is a mistake:frown:

They're holding at around $45 and $40 here, respectively, but I've seen the PVW15 pushing $60 in some stores.

When I could get it locally PVW15 was $45 - $55 depending on the store but the last time I saw this in the past few months was in the city and it was $95. ($85 for VWSR12 at the same store too, that's only ~$40 around here though.) As for the VWFRR I recently paid $65 at the same store that was selling the PVW15 for $95 because I really wanted one but prior to that, a few months ago, I was paying $49 a bottle for that. They're long gone from that store though...

The PVW15 is up around $53-$55 here in Houston, but I did have a guy get some in for me a few weeks back for $45.99.

I know of 1 store in the area that yanked their PVW 20 off the shelves b/c it wasn't selling. They still have it (if you ask for it) for $83.

Around here the PVW15 is $60-69 and the PVW20 is $100-109 depending on where you find it.

In South Florida, I used to be able to get PVW20 for $80, it's now $100, and not easy to find at that.

Yep, thats the one; thanks! Were it not for that fee for buying less than 6 (I'm assuming that maybe they only get it in when it's requested and the minimum allocation they can get is 6 bottles?) you'd be paying close to what some people here in the US might consider to be a regular retail price! (Not that it makes it any better...)

Well thanks to everyone. I am feeling better about it since it seems that everyone else is seeing similar prices. I don't mind paying a fair price for good whiskey and we are talking great whiskey here so it is still in line. I am just glad the goverment does not raise my taxes at the same rate as whiskey... lol

Those days are definitely gone around here. Pappy 20 went from $85-$95 to $175-$195 in one year! Not sure why, they seem consistent around the rest of the country at $90+. Pappy 15 has inched up this year upper $40's to mid-$50's.
