funknik
i prefer its cousin, i think it's called Barenjaeger (perhaps more related to other honey spirits like mead, krupnik, american honey).I've seen this stuff at the liquor store in a thatch-covered bottle and been intrigued by it, but it deemed it too pricey to take a chance on -- especially when I'd rather save my $ for more bourbon.

I have friends who like WT Honey, so I bought them a bottle of Barenjager. It's very sweet and syrupy.
boss302
The realy sad part is the stuff (I've never had it myself) is sold everyhwere. I recon if I scanned the back bar of most joints around here I'd find it. Which begs the question; do people really like bad tasting liquor or do they just not know any better. Money, while a factor, can not entirely explain this 'phenomena'.
bvscfanatic
:slappin: Well, I can see that I'm in the minority here, but I LOVE Yukon Jack!!! What's worse, I sometimes mix it ... usually 50/50 with gin (neat or over ice), but I've been known to mix one part Yukon Jack with two parts bourbon. I've mixed it with rum as well. Diff'rent strokes. It's less expensive then either Jaegermeister or Southern Comfort, not to mention that the taste is far superior and it packs a far more powerful punch. Having tried Yukon Jack, I can't imagine why anybody'd waste their $$$ on either Jaegermeister (which I don't even like the taste of) or Southern Comfort. Jono
True, true...taste is individual....I would prefer Southern Comfort over the other choices.
