I know there are two T-Day threads in the "off topic", but I am asking, what type of WT will you enjoy today...

I thinkit will be Bourbon Society WTKS for me today.

.... and a nice serving of the Bourbon cake we made last night... very good.... used Weller Centennial...

Happy Thanksgiving Emerald and all SB.com members. Today, among other things, I'll have a dram of WT split label.

Happy Wild Turkey Day to you too Emerald!

I'm up in Canada for the weekend and I only brought ORVW and Weller Antique with me so unfortunately I won't be enjoying any WT. But I will be enjoying some good bourbon! Cheers

I've been meaning to post this since last weekend so now this looks like a good spot.

Over this past year there have been several mentions of Wild Turkey 101 and Kentucky Spirit being to young.

I agreed with these findings.

Last Saturday I picked up a WT101 gift set with the two free glasses.

Also tried the bourbon and I must say Wild Turkey 101 is back!

It is one of the best bottles of 101 I have ever had.

All the vanilla, carmel and corn are there and it is very good neat.

Get a gift pack, you won't regret it.

I will probably have some of this WT101 with egg nog today.

Then get into the '08 Stagg later on.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

You make me sad Oscar....my wife bought the '08 BTAC for me but it's for Christmas. The bottles are in the house yet I can't touch them. So, enjoy your Stagg and know that I sit here in in quiet envy.

None of the above. Rye was the first true Colonial American whiskey*, so I'll be enjoying that instead.

* According to the back of my Rittenhouse BIB.

Rare Breed while cooking the bird out on the driveway. Using a Big Easy to infrared cook rather than deep fry. Glorious, sunny day here. So very much to be thankful for.

Just the plain ol' 101 for me today.

same here, WT 101....i am planning on picking up one of the remaining Rare Breeds going for $30.99 this week (that would be tomorrow, then).

also enjoyed a healthy pour of the newly acquired VW12 lot B.

at my sister's homestead in middletown, DE, i got a chance to sip neat some Crown Royal (nice, sweet, smooth, unchallenging) and FINALLY some Seagrams 7...more interesting and i can catch the rye. but still, a bit too tame and smooth for me to have to search for that jagged rye!

so, back to another pour (the last for the night) of WT 101!

happy WT day to all!

I had to reach for the WTAS that has been sitting neglected in the cabinet for months. Happy Wild Turkey, all.

I had planned to have a single pour of Wild Turkey after dinner, but I cheated today and doubley so.

I went way beyound my pharmicist-imposed maximum just with the wine we had with dinner. Then I hunted down the bottle of scotch I keep on hand for my son. Along the way I spotted a nearly empty bottle of Russell's Reserve, 90 proof.

It turned out to be just enough for two pours, and I enjoyed them very much, even without the words "Wild Turkey" on the label. Now that I drink bourbon only rarely, I find the 90 proof to my liking. If I were to open my one remaining bottle of Wild Turkey Russell's Reserve, I wonder whether I would enjoy it more cut to 90 proof.

Yours truly,

Dave Morefield

I've been nippin' plain old WT101 all day. Even while fondly FONDLY remembering the late lamented (on these shores, anyway) 12YO.
