Just picked up the latest issue of Whisky Magazine. (Feb 2009) Below are the Whisky Magazine American Icons Of Whisky Awards. Thought everyone might enjoy this.

DISTILLER OF THE YEAR- HEAVEN HILL

AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR- THE WHISKEY PROFESSORS, BEAM GLOBAL

VISITOR ATTRACTION OF THE YEAR- HEAVEN HILL

BRAND INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR- BUFFALO TRACE

RETAILER OF THE YEAR

SINGLE OUTLET- LeNELLS

RETAILER OF THE YEAR

MULTIPLE OUTLET- BINNY'S

These were the winners. There was also those highly commended, and those also nominated. Won't bother to post those unless there's a lot of interest.

Hey Joe, what do they say as to why HH got the Distiller of the Year and what got BT the Brand Innovator of the Year?

I get Malt Advocate but not Whisky magazine.

I get Malt Advocate but not Whisky magazine.

I get MA and look at W every now and then.

They really aren't worth subscribing to if you want to know about new releases of bourbon.

By the time they publish something about new bourbons thoses bottles have hit the shelves and are sold out.

But occasionally they will have a good story.
