fishnbowljoe
Wow! It's hard to believe no one's posted here in over a year. Reckon I'll get the ball rolling again. I've finished off a couple of bottles recently, and I opened up a couple more to take their place. In doing so, I noticed that I've shifted back to having all BT/Weller's opened. Yes, it's happened before, but it's been a while. I do have a couple of non-Weller/BT bottles opened, but I'm saving those to bring to the Sampler. Also, and FWIW, the reason I have so many PS OWA's open is because I'm going to try and do another of my Weller Blends to bring to the Sampler. Here's my list: 2012 WLW-123.4 proof Stagg Jr Batch #4-132.2 proof ER 10 BT ETL Weller 12 Weller SR-Private Selection OWA-Private Selections- X4 Pic#1-Pretty maids all in a row. Golzee
I try and keep my open bottles around 5, with a bottle open in my garage (usually a BIB). At the moment, I have an RHF, EC12, ER10, JBB8yr inside, and a JWD BIB/EC12 vatting in the garage.
Richnimrod
Hmmm. What ain't open on the shelves? I have many in the bunker unopened; but (nearly?) all are duplicates of open stuff. So a short answer would have to be; "Everything". HA!

Madhatter
This is a good thread to see the 'state of the art'. Also, if you see someone's opens and have a question about what their current thoughts are, you can pm them for an opinion. Thanks, Joe, for restarting this. In my case the 'opened', omitting the 'closed', are Weller 12 Old Weller Antique 107 High West Rendezvous and Midwinter ND Willett 4 Yr Rye Elijah Craig 12 and 12 BP (batch 5) E T Lee CEH Taylor BP (129 pf) Four Roses OBSK (TPS), OESK(SFWTC), and OESQ(Warehouse Liq)

Every few weeks I get a hankering to add a 'signature' Canadian to the bar but I can never figure out what would fit the bill. I often debate one of the JP Wisers but in the end I never do pull the trigger. The Legacy seems to be the only Canadian you have open, is that by design? I've had it in my hand numerous times about ready to purchase and decided not to. Only having one Canadian open is not by design really. It's more a matter of me not being into ryes nearly as much as bourbon and not really being much into the Canadian whiskeys. I bought Legacy a couple years ago and do like it. I struggled to finish a bottle of Lot 40 purchased at the same time so I've not been inclined to buy more Canadians since then.
PaulO
I usually only keep a few open in the cabinet, meanwhile plenty unopened waiting in the bunker. So right now it's: Old Fitz bond Old Grand-dad bond Rittenhouse Pikesville Cutty Sark Prohibition (Man, it's taking a long time to finish that one. It seems decent. I guess I'm just not a malt whisky guy.)
camduncan
I started to write a list and gave up... took a photo instead. Apologies for the bad lighting and photography. It makes me realise I need to finish a few of these off! A couple of open bottles are missing as they were upstairs: Willett XCF, Knob Creek, Nelson County. It lacks that sweet, maple syrup overtone I often find in Canadian whiskey. Just got an Alberta Dark Batch but haven't tried it. The Hand selected is sweet also, as I previously noted - at least to me.
mbroo5880i
The open bottles on my bar are at their lowest level in several years. I have plenty of bottles in the bunker. However, I only have three open bottles of whiskey. Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Rye, Larceny and Macallan 21 year Fine Oak. The majority of the bottles in the bunker are not everyday type whiskeys. I plan to add some every day pours this week. I have other spirits open (e.g., rum, tequila, vodka).
