I did not quite make it to midnight, but a good friend shared some 08 Eagle Rare 17. That is some good stuff. It did not blow my socks off like GTS did, but excellent none the less.

Went north of the border for most of the evening with Crown Royal before turning back south to start the new year with PVW15. Hopefully, the rest of the year will be as smooth and enjoyable.

i got home before most folks, i think....nice dinner with the in-laws...filet mignon and sam adams...then home to this perplexingly awful/wondeful, awfully wonderful 1792....then a few traditional egg nogs (trader joe's excellent version) with Jim Beam RYE in the mix. worked out well. i slept great and woke up to, yes, a pour of 1792...wonderful THIS time around... :grin:...then fell asleep around 11pm LAST YEAR

It all depends on my location at midnight.

If I'm at a party, it's whatever fifth I brought with me.

If I'm at home, something that lingers before I try to fall asleep. I'll usually watch anywhere from 30 - 2 hours worth of a movie or TV before falling asleep. In that case, it's something strong like some Stagg or Handy.
