Liquor Stores in Lexington area?

Hello All,

I'm coming up on the last couple of weeks for my project in Lexington and was wondering what other liquor stores in the area besides the various Liquor Barns have a good selection of bourbons? I've been to Red Dot and Capital Cellars in Frankfort but for whatever reason I work with a bunch of folks in Lexington that don't drink and didn't have any suggestions for places to check out.

The only store I've been to in Lexington is the Thoroughbred Shop and they had a decent selection unless you're looking for dusties. You might PM Jeff our fearless Poobah as he lives in Lexington and might be able to steer you better.

You can't go wrong with Liquor Barn.

You gotta go to The Thoroghbred Shop, say hi to Sal and pick yourself up Thoroghbred's private bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel.

I have three favorite liquor stores here in Lexington. One is the Liquor Barn at Hamburg, one is the Liquor Barn on Richmond Rd, and the third is the Liquor Barn on Harrodsburg Rd. I've yet to find the need to shop anyplace else.
