Good Luck, Andy! There are lots of lurkers who would poach on you. They troll SB.COM to pick up info on availability of cool bottles like these. Next thing you know, they're making money on your hard work. Be careful on what you post, until you've scored. You've put the work into it. You want to make sure you reap the rewards.
Thank for the advice, Joe...I try to be careful not to give too much away, but I think I'm the only one do any real hunting up here. There are only a handful of stores statewide and I've been pretty surprised that the ones I pulled my big hauls out of hadn't been picked clean already.

Andy,

Watch where they are distilled and bottled. As a general rule, Louisville > Frankfort.

Good luck hunting.

Went dusty hunting today. Score! Two bottles of OCPR, and one bottle of Weller Centennial. At one place I left behind three Weller Centennials, and 5 VSOF. I will return at a later date. Joe

I thought I'd throw in the BHC bottles I found today. I plan on opening the first one after I pick up a BHC Frankfurt I saw last week so I can compare them. These four are from Louisville, and I left two on the shelf for someone else to find.

Realisticly, all of the juice for the Centenials is from UD Louisville. Because, BT bought the label in 1999...and their 10yr juice wouldn't be in the bottle until this year. And since they discontinued the label...it won't happen.

Therefor, all the juice in Centennial bottles is UD.

With the exception of any wheated juice BT was making on contract before the label sold.

I went dusty hunting in Omaha/ Council Bluff this weekend hit a couple of stores apparently they don't drink bourbon there. I thought I had a bad selection here in Podunk Iowa it was worse there. One store the prices were outrageous. The only thing I found was a bottle of KC for $25 at HyVee a grocery store chain.

Thanks for the info! I've been reading that some people prefer Louisville over Frankfort so I thought there might be a difference. I still may go on, in the name of Science, with the comparison.

Cheers!

Well, I finally found a BHC bottle colection last weekend for a wopping price of $400 for all 5 bottles. Lets see.....$80 a bottle.....I passed. I highly doubt the wood display tray and metal labels make up for half the price, I believe $40 a bottle would be more than reasonable. BTW, this is the FIRST dusty find for me. I was greatly disappointed in finding out the price after being so excited that I actually found something like this in my are.

That sucks, dude, but you were right to pass, no one with any sense would pay those prices....maybe in another 10 years if it's still there, it'll be worth it.
