JDC20
While checking out a few stores today I ran across an older bottle of Wild Turkey. It's got a brown label, and the foil on the neck is dated 9/22/98. I picked it up as it was only $16 bucks. I don't drink too much WT but will this bottle be drastically different than any current release? At the same trip I was able to pick up a Weller Centennial for $34 as well.I envision plenty of good future trips to this store as they had stuff stacked all over. ggilbertva
Does the WT label state "Old No. 8"?The Weller Cent. is a nice find....you should enjoy that.

craigthom
The 86.8 had a brown label, didn't it? Does the 80?
TBoner
Yeah, it does. There's a lot of 80 proof in my area with the brown label.Regards,Tim
ggilbertva
The 86.8 does have the brown label but I didn't think they were still doing that proof in '98. My understanding was the 86.8 was a transition proof getting to 80.
