I guess this could technically go under "Bourbon Social" as well.

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the Sampler in April (I have a baby due that same week). However, I would still love to meet up with some of my fellow SBers in the months ahead.

I have a pretty flexible schedule and have been looking to visit a few of the distilleries in KY that I have yet to visit. I was thinking it would be super cool to do one of those tours with a few of you.

I am looking to visit Woodford, Tom Moore, Jim Beam and/or Makers Mark. If anyone is thinking about visiting these in the next month or so, let me know and perhaps we could arrange to tour together.

I've been contemplating making a run down to KY (L'ville or Lex.) during my spring break (wk beginning 3/16) to stock up and to pick up stuff that I can't find up here. It hasn't been cleared with the wife yet and I haven't decided if I want to stay overnight or not, but I'd like to pick some stuff up then so I don't have to take time out from the Sampler festivities to go shopping.

I'd really like to see the Tom Moore visitor's center. I've been on both the Woodford and MM tours but I wouldn't mind going again.

Very nice. I would actually like to re-visit the Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage Center as well. I went over Christmas, but did not get the full tour - just the video and tasting.

Just let me know if you get permission ;-)

We have some tentative plans. Josh and I will meet at Beam on Saturday, March 21st. We will then head down to Bardstown and visit HH and perhaps Barton / Tom Moore (Anyone know if they are open on Saturday?).

Depending on time, I might head down to Makers Mark as well.

Let us know if anyone else wants to join us.

Best I can tell, you still need to call ahead for Tom Moore.

Hey Folks,

Looks like we are meeting up at Beam at noon on Saturday. If any of you Louisvillians or other Kentuckians want join us, we would love to catch you there. After the Beam tour we will head down to HH and the BHC. From there, who knows.

Let me know if there is interest and we should keep our eyes open for you.

I have been through Tom Moore many times, but not on the new official tour.

The visitors center is supposed to be up on the hill, by the warehouses, which puts it rather far away from the distillery. I don't know if anything has been started on the visitor's center. I also haven't heard if the deal with Sazerac has been finalized yet or not, and Sazerac hasn't said anything about their plans for tourism there going forward.

Thanks Chuck!

For everyone out there in bourbonland, I'm going to be staying near Shepherdsville, so if anyone in the area is interested in getting together for a drink Saturday night, pm me and we can get something arranged.
