Here's a little interesting exercise. During my travels this week, I came across a store that was offering the following:

A boxed 3-Pack of, (Not a WT boxed set. The retailer must have done it.)

Wild Turkey Tribute

Wild Turkey American Spirit

Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit (Pewter Top)

I passed on it. But, I thought his price wasn't TOO obscene. So, I ask ya'll...

What woud YOU pay for this?

(No tellin', Ty! :D)

No, I'm not going to be looking to sell this. And, I'll give up the guys asking price after I hear what ya'll think.

Originally $210.00 would be a fair shelf price for the three.

$75.00 Tribute

$90.00 American Spirit

$45.00 Kentucky Spirit

I have paid a lot more for the Tribute and pewter top KS.

$220-$240 for all. The wild cards are WT Tribute, what year was the WTKS bottled, and my desire for them at the time, and the solvency of the bourbon discretionary fund.

That's a pretty savvy retailer...I'd guess they would charge about $400 for that, I'd consider it to be worth $300, though I'd only pay $225.

In the spirit of The Price is Right, I'll give them $226.

The guy, in fact, has it priced at $300. I thought it wasnt' jacked up too much. The Tribute and WTKS are indeed the wild cards here, IMO too. I might be tempted on this just for those two. The WTAS is still pretty much available, so that's a throw in. Breaking it down, I might be willing to go $130+ on the Tribute, $60 on the WTKS, and that leaves $100 on the AS. So, to me, it's a little pricey. But, not outrageous. Still, I'd have to have $300 burning a hole in my pocket, to pull the trigger on this one.

Yeah Joe I think you broke it down just right.

$190.00 for the Tribute and Kentucky Spirit.

But as far as your 130/60 split goes, mine would be 65/125.

Oscar you either don't like Tribute at all or got it for a great deal when it first came out. I never saw it for any less than $84.99 in California, as high as $110 and would gladly pay that now - it is great bourbon.

For me it'd depend a little on when that Pewter top was bottled, if it was a 95 or 96 with the original grey/black labels I'd be much more intrigued - '99/2000 not so much.

As for American Spirit, it may still be around in some places but in 5/6 years or so it'll be the dusty rage by a whole new crowd of bourbon newbies...

Right now I wouldn't pay anymore than the high bid here, but if the economy wasn't in the crapper and I wasn't worried about having a job in a month I'd go to the $250-260 range (assuming the KS was '96ish).

Joe, I just ran across this post. If you do spring for that collection, make sure you get it on your way towards my place......and stop by! I am still tore up about the BHC bottles they have. I would love to get my hands on them!

Still a little to pricey for my blood, Ty. I just can't talk myself into this one, yet. I have some open Tribute and AS, though. I'll hook you up, next time I'm through.

I hear ya, I think I would have to keep it on the shelf just to look at for a while before drinking, if I ever did. Then again, I would probably have to keep it out of sight so I would not have to explain to the misses how I spent so much on them:rolleyes:.

Sounds good. I got a store here to order some OGD114 for me, picking it up this week. Gonna try to get them to get some Old Fitz BIB next!

I know how much someone is asking on an un-named auction site.

I might pay $100 if I had extra $$$ burning a hole in my pocket.
