spun_cookie
It took me way to long to find Dawn's great info on the WTRB bottles, so I have consolidated what I could find.I have found a few conflicts in the info. The 02 & 03 1994 bottles come and go in the lists between each. I found Dougdog’s original post on the W-T-02-94, so I think it is correct, but that does not mean the 03 version is not correct as well.Rare Breed Bottlings:1) W-T-01-91 (109.6 proof) First Issue2) W-T-02-91 (110 proof)3) W-T-01-93 (110.8 proof)4) W-T-03-93 (111.4 proof)5) W-T-01-94 (112.2 proof)6) W-T-02-94 (109.6 proof)7) W-T-03-94 (109.6 proof)8) W-T-01-95 (109 proof)9) W-T-02-95 (109 proof)10) W-T-01-96 (108.8 proof)11) W-T-01-97 (108.6 proof)12) W-T-01-99 (108.4 proof)13) WT 03RB (108.2 proof)Anyone have other bottles?Very strange that there is not a 1992 version. cigarnv
Em, has there been a tasting to compare different bottlings of the RB? Also, why is there not a more current release than 03RB..... seems like it has benn around a long time..??
spun_cookie
Em, has there been a tasting to compare different bottlings of the RB? Also, why is there not a more current release than 03RB..... seems like it has been around a long time..?? The 03 seems to have been around forever... like they mixed 2000-2003 into one lot and they are working that sale... I really have no idea – just speculation. I have not found a vertical tasting of the WTRBs, but I am working on picking up bottles for such an event... I currently have:91-191-293-195-1 (1855)96-1 (1855)97-199-1WT 03RB and I am trying to fill in at least one from each year... I also have two of the WT 1855s (95 & 96) that I will add to the list below. 1) W-T-01-91 (109.6 proof) First Issue2) W-T-02-91 (110 proof)3) W-T-01-93 (110.8 proof)4) W-T-03-93 (111.4 proof)5) W-T-01-94 (112.2 proof)5a) W-T-01-04 (112.2 proof) - 1855 Reserve6) W-T-02-94 (109.6 proof)7) W-T-03-94 (109.6 proof)8) W-T-01-95 (109 proof)8a) W-T-01-95 (109 proof) - 1855 Reserve9) W-T-02-95 (109 proof)10) W-T-01-96 (108.8 proof)10a) W-T-01-96 (108.8 proof) 1855 Reserve11) W-T-01-97 (108.6 proof)12) W-T-01-99 (108.4 proof)13) WT 03RB (108.2 proof) As far as I can tell, the 1855 and Rare Breed are the same juice for any given batch, as seen by the year and the corresponding proof. The numbers are too big of a coincidence not to be the same juice.

spun_cookie
I do have a thing for the old WT 8yr and the early WT Old #8. That stuff is some of the best juice ever made... I pulled this thread together because I could not find some info in one spot. I have verified every bottle on this list visually from bottles i was able to locate on SB and other areas... Nothing from 92 or 98 that I can find. And the missing 2-93 still is in hiding. I sent a quick email to WT to see if they would help me fill out the list...I did find an old add that said the WTRB was/is 8, 10 and 12 yr blended. I am not sure sure that is the case any longer... barturtle
????? I must be missing something here ????Take a look at the list, barring what I'm guessing is a misprint on the W-T-01-04 1855 Reserve, the proofs go down as the dates get more recent from '94 on. Dew Me
RB and 1855 are the same thing. I've even seen them with the exact same batch #'s. I own several W-T-10-92 that are 110 proof. So there was a 92 No 98, 00, 01, or
