Finished off two yesterday. Both only had very small pours left. A FRSB and Everett's BT bottling bit the dust. Joe

RRRye new style bottle. I think I would be very smitten if this stuff was a few bucks cheaper.

With about 40% left, I finished off an ETL last night. No worries though, because I've got backup!

Finally killed my Eagle Rare 10/90 last night -- I go back and forth with this, but don't think I'll buy any more for a long while.

Had been sipping the last remnants of a baby Sazerac for a couple weeks - drank the final few drops last night.

Like many whiskeys, it seemed to improve after sitting open for several days; is this simply the mutability of perception or a measurable change in the chemical/physical composition of the liquid?

With only a single bottle in reserve, I need to stock up, as thus far this is my favorite "everyday" dram.

Another BT bites it.

Seriously considering buying a case of this. BT and ER 10/90 don't last long over here.

Just killed the last dregs of my EW black label. Dumped the last in my glass of diet A&W...not bad, but needs something...few drops of Angostura bitters...hmm, not too shabby! Not a bad bottle for as little as it costs ($12.99 for a liter bottle at Woodman's in WI)

I started the original version of this thread because I had observed, in myself and others, the practice of keeping a bottle with one drink left in it for a very long time, because we didn't want to say goodbye to a particularly beloved bottle. I seem, through the help of everyone here, to have broken myself of that habit.

Now I open something, drink it enthusiastically until it is about half empty, and stop there instead.

If I understand the pathology correctly, that's not an improvement.

I ran out of room and something had to go. It took me three days but the half bottle of rebel yell is gone. I was really making room for the rebel reserve when I find some. Heard its good.

My drinking habits are reversed. I'll slowly work my way through the first half of a bottle. Once it gets close to 40% left, that's the only drink I focus on until it's gone.

I really get to enjoy a visit the same bourbon over a few nights and I also make room for something new.

I am with you Chuck... I exhibit the same behavior,

Last night I had to put an old friend down. He'd seen me through the past few months, and I had grown to love his soft bite and fluffy tail. R.I.P. The Fox.

Just finished the last of my 2007 William Larue Weller. I swear that last pour was the best of them all.

Now to get working on the 2006 Thomas Handy.

Does this have anything to do with having whiskrexia nervosa? If so, I'm in the same boat. Joe

Sirs, I have less than a 1/3 bottle of VWFRR left.

Do I qualify for pre-nervosa support counseling?

Or if there is something left in the bottle and your still nervous what kind of nervosa is that?

Just polished off my bottle of Weller SR. I thought it was excellent. It had the best QPR of the bourbons I've tried, by far.

Didn't your last pour have a ton of sediment in it? Now I shake the bottle before each pour to distribute the sediment evenly throughout the bottle's consumption.

Killed my first OWA 107 during what was technically yesterday afternoon. I dominated that last half of the bottle.

No, I didn't have any sediment in it at all. Did someone else make a post about sediment in their bottle, maybe?
