I killed off a few bottles over the weekend. Some from drinking but mostly from grilling.

Sadly, an ER101 is gone.

All I've got to say is, . I feel your loss. Joe

Finished off a Distiller's Pride bourbon 2 weeks ago. Already bought replacement: $4.99/750ml at the county store.

Working on finishing a bottle of BH and a Lot B. Gotta clear room for a bottle of Arak and more rye.

Killed a 1L of Turkey Old #8 101 from the mid-90's. Nursed it for a year. I have another I will open someday, but not in the next 10 years.

RITT BIB again.

A case purchase may be in order as this is my fav. value pour so far.

Just enjoyed the last few pours from my Stagg 2007. Great bourbon. I have but 1 Stagg 2008 in the bunker.

Although I don't remember doing it (is that a bad sign?), I apparently finished off a bottle of J.T.S. Brown BIB here recently.

Finished an Elmer T. Lee, it was good.

I just finished a Julio's Elmer T. Lee today and I wasn't especially sad to make room in the cabinet. I kept going back and forth on this one, but even when I was enjoying it, I didn't enjoy it that much. I will certainly get another bottle at some point, but I won't be running out to re-visit this one anytime soon.

Finished an Old Fitz BiB, a 2001 bottling.

While not in the same league as the SW era, it's far better than any of the more recent bottlings I've had.

Say goodbye to a very pleasant bottle of EWVSB 1999, but it is okay because I just picked up a bottle of the '97. Oh Yea!!

i just got a bottle of Early Times from '82. My neighbor had it in his cabinet for all these years. I haven't opened it yet.

Brian,

Nice neighbor. What's the proof on that bottle? Even at 80 pf, it's still a very good pour. Mine had more flavor and depth than I would have expected in an 80pf bourbon. If the color is dark and amber, you're probably looking at something quite a bit older than 4 years; considered glut whiskey. Open and enjoy and let us know what you think.

Alas, a bottle of ER 101 poured it's last. It was good to the last drop. Two in the bunker that will not be touched for a while. A bottle of VOB BIB also hit the recycle bin tonight. Joe

Joe,

Gotta source for any more ER 101? :)

Thanks,

Bob

WTRR101 gave up his last drop on Sunday. WT8YO looks to be on his way out tonight. Them Russell boys sure do make fine whiskey!
