What am I missing?

I am starting to develop a somewhat respectable collection of whiskey. I have tried to cover different mash bills, distilleries, etc. in order to experience the breadth of the category.

Take a look at the picture below. What ONE bottle am I missing? What flavor profile would compliment what I already have? If you were me, what would be your next acquisition?

Very nice collection, I am a big fan of almost everything you have on that wall. The big hole I see is 4 Roses. I would recommend the Small Batch, but the Single Barrel is excellent as well. You may also want to add a Heaven Hill Bonded product.

Very cool thread...it is one thing to ask the question, but to post a picture makes it feel like we are sitting down for a pour talking about how many great bourbons there are.

If you can find an Old Taylor from National Distillery days...you will love it and I don't see anything on the shelves that might compare. I'd second the Four Roses but highly recommend the Single barrel over the Small Batch of which I am not a fan.

Your collection would keep me happy for every occasion. I agree, though: Four Roses Single Barrel.

Also: Wild Turkey Rye 101. Great bargain, great whiskey.

I wouls have to add a bottle of bookers. It also looks like you will need another bottle of EC12 soon

You have the 6 to 12yo age well represented. I would suggest eagle rare 17yo to add a little age to the group. Contrast/compare to ER 10yo and BT. A bottle of LOT B would give you a younger version of PVW and will have a slightly different but similar profile to the weller 12. You have a great spread of wheat and rye. Nice collection. tim

I'll second Timothy's suggestion. Having a TN whiskey is a good thing and Dickel #12 is a good pour.

Totally agree with this. It looks like you have a really nice spread!! Although OGD 114 almost qualifies, I think that a barrel-proofer may be in order: either WT Rare Breed or Stagg or (ahem) Booker's (although this can be a gamble). Also, Rittenhouse is respectable, I think WT Rye 101 and Saz Jr. are both great ryes.

I would say that you are missing some Rock Hill Farms I personally think this is an extremely good bourbon for around $40 a bottle you can spend more and get much worse. Everyone I have let try this has thought that it was really good.

Nice collection my first gut response was either Booker's or GTS you need a high octane barrel proof to round it out. A William Larue Weller would do this as well but you have the wheater's covered but if you prefer wheat over rye go with the WLW.

As for Scotch, if you add that, I would focus on Highland as a starter. Dalwhinnie or Clynelish are both good pours that are low/no peat and low/no smoke. Another good Irish is Redbreast 12 year.

As for bourbons, if you can find it, Ancient Ancient Age (AAA) 10 year or the AA BIB and the Very Old Barton (VOB) BIB.

I third the suggestion for Four Roses but also let me add OF Sig or OFBB. Old Forester has a classic profile that is a great counterpoint to anything else on the shelf.

I agree on the Four Roses and a good(?) Scotch. As for a Canadian I would go with Crown Royal Reserve. Other than that I think the only things I would add is Fighting Cock and Evan Williams SB. Nice collection.

cool thread and collection (I've been working on something similar myself).

I, too, suggest:

- something from Four Roses (I actually prefer the Yellow, their cheapest).

- Baby Saz (it's so good, my second favorite Rye after VWFRRye).

- a real cask strength Bourbon (like GTStagg, which tastes quite good).
