sotnsipper
I have finally after 16 years quit dipping snuff!!! I have tried several times but have not been able to till now! As a nice gift my wife bought me a bottle of Elmer T. Lee, well she didn't go get it, she told me to pick out a bottle. I haven't had the ETL yet so I gave it a whirl. I know Ben did some notes on this a while back and got me interested. His notes were right on! Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that I finally quit! Lost Pollito
Keep up the good work!!! I seem to quit, then start, then quit, then start, etc. Enjoy that ETL.
kickert
Very nice... I used to dip when I fought fire out west and have revisited it a few times. It was always just "something to do," but I would trade the experience for a bottle of ETL any day!To keep this thread bourbon related.... what else was in the running besides ETL as a celebratory bottle? sotnsipper
Keep up the good work!!! I seem to quit, then start, then quit, then start, etc. Enjoy that ETL.That is kind of what I did in the past. Finally just laid it down and did not look back.To keep this thread bourbon related.... what else was in the running besides ETL as a celebratory bottle?I was looking at the ETL real hard because I knew I wanted to try it. Others in the running were WTRB. It comes with two glasses in a wooden case, it was a close 2nd, little too high price wise for me too. I was also looking at the new Rebel Reserve that showed up on the shelves here a couple weeks ago. I was not too sure about this one. Sazrac was also in the running. ETL won out because I have wanted to try it longer than any of the others mentioned.

Not to give you any ideas, but if you start up again, then quit again, do you get another bottle?

Na, Just kidding. I actually said I was going to quit when my oldest daughter was born. She turned 7 yesterday.
heatsaver
I dipped snuff for 20 years before I quit. It's been 15 years since I quit. I still get the urge to put a chew in-especially when hunting. I wish you the best of luck. ETL definitely tastes better!
