polyamnesia
i believe it was usually $34.99 or or so...and went on sale in last fall for $30 or something...but my local (Media) PLCB store has it on closeout (statewide of course) for $21 or so... ws very tempted to nab the last two bottles, but i decided on just one. the PLCB site should list how many others are left at various stores. not a hard site to navigate.think i will let this one bunker until it gets really chilly this fall! smokinjoe
That is a great price, Poly. RB is my favorite of the current Turkey lineup. If I were in your shoes, I'd be bagging as many as the wallet and wife would allow.

polyamnesia
this is the only time PLCB shines...when they are liquidating...or liquoridating.... think i'll nab a couple more...if they are still there:grin: other SB PA folk going for it? polyamnesia
p.s. i just did a search (and maybe it isn't updated, but i hear it's pretty accurate)...a state-wide search listed 16 pages of stores...so, THAT'S alot remaining.in Delaware County, looks like 5 or so stores have a total of 20 or so bottles...my local one lists 4 bottles, but i nabbed the one yesterday and there were only 2 on the shelf remaining. but that's a pretty good sense of what remains.i remember when the Eagle Rare 10 Single Barrel in the 1.75 bottles were going for $24.95 when liquidated....i WISH i nabbed more of those.... burghguy
I couldn't find it listed on the PA website. Does anyone know the product code? I live in Pittsburgh and wouldn't mind picking some up. Thanks.

HighTower
Funny thing with Rare Breed.....I got a call from my WT distributor on Friday, telling me they were trying to "clear some stock" of certain lines, one of which was rare breed, and they were offering about $56 dollars off a case, which is unheard of down here. I took a case (he only had 1 on offer) and it will be coming home with me :grin:Scott

callmeox
I removed one of the last 3 bottles from Erie county yesterday. I would have grabbed the other two, but the stores were too far out of my way.The counter conversation went something like this:"I can't believe that PA is discontinuing this bottling.""Well, we have to make room for new stuff. Some things have to go.""What kind of new stuff are you bringing in?""I don't know."

burghguy
I had a similar discussion with LCB employee. PA is getting out of the distilled spirits business and becoming nothing but a glorified wine shop. With the current budget crisis you would think they would at least consider privatizing the liquor business and give us some CHOICE in what we can buy. Anyway, since WTRB will be gone from PA stores soon, I bunkered an even dozen in the past few days. At $21.95 a bottle it just seemed like the thing to do.
