funknik
I don't know whether to believe this, or if it's some sort of marketing ploy, but I received this email today . . . apparently WT isn't the only one running out of properly aged whiskey . . . KC represents the oldest of Beam's product, right? Anyway, I have a bottle from Christmas that I still haven't opened yet, so I doubt the shortage will affect me, but I do find it interesting.http://knobcreek.cmail5.com/T/ViewEmail/y/B6F42A960640041C/5316C9FC130CAF6FC5EC08CADFFC107B

funknik
I know about KC what is WT running out of? I haven't heard any thing about it?Just generally their bourbon is not aged enough in my (and others') opinion -- they dropped the age statement on the WT101 in the 90's and the WTKS seems to be getting younger & younger (to the point that they didn't even release any yet this year), the Rare Breed is also quite different than it was in the 90's. I didn't mean to suggest there would be any shortage of specific product, just lack of older whiskey - - but bnow that I mentioned it, I guess The Kentucky Spirit, b/c I don't think they've released any since mid-last year.I still think the bird is tops, it just isn't what it very recently was -- the expansion should help that immensely.
