sku
Anyone know when this will be out? It's not on the California shelves yet or at Binny's. In the past, there has never been any shortage of Parker's, and there's still lots of the 2008 version out there.

spun_cookie
Julio's has it as well... I am just having a hard time kicking in the $150 to get this one... I did not care for the 27 yr I had and I do understand teh later ones were not as good as teh first botteling...
Joshua
Emerald- I think (personally) it shares a lot in common with the 27 year old as far as taste profile goes. It's a bit deeper with a more complex finish, however I thought the finish was underwhelming compared to what everyone else thought of it. I'm going to revisit it again and do another side by side... but so far if you didnt care for the 27 I'm not sure you would be too thrilled with this.*edit for addition of content*I did another sample, it does have a great taste holding it in your mouth. The finish was longer then I remembered, but fairly one simple.

They were far deeper (and this is by folks I know their tastes). I would love to try and older one to compair, but I need to get out to see mighty Joe Young ... since he has an original release... Pirate762
Is it still possible to find the 2007 (cask strength) Parker's Heritage Collection? If so, where and how much you guess it would be? I have a couple of the 27 year stuff that I have been saving, but would like to find the 2007.ThanksJim

The trick is that there were two versions of that edition at two slightly different proofs. From what I read, most people liked the 122.6 proof the best. I've only had that one, but it is excellent. Gillman
I just tried this. It has good notes of medium butterscotch and rich loam (probably the oldest whiskeys explain the earthy warehouse note). The taste is big and full. The finish is not quite as integrated as I would prefer. Excellent whiskey but foremost a collector`s piece in my opinion.Gary

And considering I've seen it at half the other two, totally a great value and worth it.

And considering I've seen it at half the other two, totally a great value and worth it.the only place I know of is Bayville Package Store on Rt 54 in Delaware just outside Fenwick Island. I've bought a few from them and I believe there are still at least 3 or 4 left. Pretty good price as well, at $61. No tax in Delaware either. spun_cookie
... there were two versions of that edition... These were three versions in total:122.6127.4 (I think)129.XFrom what I read, most people liked the 122.6 proof the best. The first was rated 96 by malt advocate, the 2nd was 95 I think this one taste like smoked brisket) and the third had a lower ratingI like the 1st and 2nd for different reasons... I have not had the 3rd

silverfish
PHGA was just named "American Whiskey of the Year" by the Malt Advocate. It is on sale at Shoppers Vineyard for $115.
Old Lamplighter
They were released the same year (2007) just three different batches. No age statement on any bottle.Upon research, 68 barrels from 1996, rickhouse Y, 5th floor. Dumped in small batches of 22,22, and 24 barrels.Only one I ever saw was the 127.4.....no sign of any of this latest one in this part of TN yet. SMOWK
There's still 3 or 4 bottles of the 127.4 from 2007 left on the shelf at a local store. I picked one up the other day and now am contemplating going back for the others. It's the only Parkers Anniversary I've tried, and it is very, very good. I considered grabbing one of the 27yr bottles, but I really like the barrel proof stuff. I think I'd rather have the extra bottles than the older stuff. Lost Pollito
Both the 27, and the Golden are worth grabbing IMO. The cask strength's are much more up front and in your face. All of these Parker's have been quite good.
