Josh
When I was down in the holy land for the Sampler last April, I took the opportunity to buy 1.75 l bottles of some of my favorite everyday pours. I got Four Roses, VOB 90 & Old Forester Signature. It took me a while to get to the OFS but now that it's open, I'm really kind of blown away. I remember liking it when I last got it, but it seems like it is even better than it was then. The Old Forester BiB I have which I used to be crazy about has faded in comparison (although I still think it's great). It seems much richer than I remember. Lots of brown sugar, figs, dates, clove and allspice. I almost feel like I need to check the bottle to make sure I'm not drinking the Birthday Bourbon instead.Anybody else have this experience? smokinjoe
Signature is one of my favorite budget pours. My last bottle was outstanding, as well. I blew through it pretty quickly. Though, I must say, I've thoroughly enjoyed every bottle of this that I've had. To me, it's a great baseline bourbon. I think, if someone who didn't know bourbon wanted to know what a bourbon should or does taste like....I would give them OFS.
shoshani
One thing I've noticed about OFS is a note of dark chocolate, bordering on unsweetened cocoa. It's unlike anything else in bourbon, and it really makes a favorable impact when I pour it for friends.
nor02lei
I do agree it is a very good bourbon. I did bring one plastic (like that part to) bottle home from Kentucky 2006 as I really did enjoy it. Unfortunately I cant get it here witch is a real pity.Leif

GregSVT
I just bought a bottle a few days ago and am decently impressed with it. For the price I'd probably grab a FR Small Batch bottle 90% of the time though...just my opinion.

JeffRenner
I've mentioned a few times here over the last few months (among my increasingly rare posts) that this has risen to the top of my every day pours. Sadly, I'm out right now.

PAspirit1
This one has been on my list for quite awhile but I keep picking something else. I may have to bump it up in line right behind Ritt100 and maybe OGD 114.

sotnsipper
OF Sig is the only bottle in my cabinet that always gets replaced, before running out. This is my favorite pour. When you consider the price, proof and taste, you cannot go wrong with this stuff. I love it, and have since my first pour. I keep it along side some VOB BIB, GD 90, and OWA107. These are the ones I drink anymore. I kinda got burned out on trying everything else getting let down over and over. These bottles meet my price, proof and taste requirements over everything else more than anything else I have tried. These are my top 4 with the OF Sig reigning at the top! GregSVT
I've drank almost half the bottle and will have to say it's pretty good stuff. I could see this being a permanent fixture in my bar.

MJL
To be frank I have become quite enamoured with Old Forester but can only find the 86 proof expression here in South Florida. I would love to try the 100 proof Signature. Anyone know if it can be found in SoFla?
LarryG
Nowadays I keep too many different bottles open to have an "everyday pour," but mine used to be Wild Turkey 101. If I had to name my "everyday pour" now ("go-to pour" is probably a better term), it just might be Old Forester Signature 100. I liked it from the first sip; several bottles later, I find myself liking it more and more. As a couple others have mentioned, I try to always have some on hand. For a while the ABC store at which I usually shop had a handwritten placard taped to the shelf under the OF Sig 100 section: "An Alabama Favorite!" Proof that not everyone here drinks Jack, I guess.LarryEDIT: Hey, I just noticed that this was my 100th post, in a thread about a 100-proof bourbon. Must be some deeper meaning in that ... sotnsipper
How much is a good price? It is no less than $25 a 750ml in Dallas. We are lucky enough, however, to have an ample supply of the old label 90's bottles of the BIB for $15 to $18 a 750ml. I have bought the Signature and loved it also, but can't make it a frequent purchase at our local prices.
