silverfish
Just curious if anyone here has any experience with whiskyauction.com?I've been following some of the auctions to compile price reference and checked the registration page. The registration fee is 2,50 EUR and I was wondering what that comes to in US dollars?(Apologies if this is the wrong folder but it is somewhat bourbon related and not necessarily off topic)

silverfish
I've visited Whiskeyauction.com but that's about it. 2.50 Euro equates to about $3.58 USDThe punctuation between the 2 and 5 is a comma (,) not a decimal (.) and I was unsure if that translated differently or if they are interchangeable. 2.50 € seemed to be a low registration fee. independant
seemed to be a low registration fee.You could be amazed how a small amount charged to join a web site will keep the spammers away.
JBeamGold
Postage to Australia seems to be the higher than usual... But if something turns up on there it will cost less than a spotters fee

p_elliott
Here's a site for converting money. http://convert.french-property.co.uk/
silverfish
Just thought I'd post an update. I received my credit card statement and the converted fee was $3.68 USD so independant's "spammer fee" seems to be spot on.I usually use xe.com for conversion but will bookmark p_elliott's suggestion.I see the Auction Highlight 50 year old Dalmore sold for $7,140. US.
