sgtgto
I have a bottle of Willett 5 yr 94 proof that I got a few months ago. I have only taken 2 drinks out of it, and it is stored next to all of my other bourbons. But this particular bottle has stuff floating in it. I guess suspended is a better term. It looks like clumps of fluffy something. It reminds me of the cold break while cooling wort. If you shake the bottle, they disappear completely, and come back in a few hours. Has anyone got a clue as to what is going on with it? I don't know if a picture will be possible...

I'm not sure what causes it, though.
p_elliott
It probably wasn't chill filtered and got cold I wouldn't worry about it.

Send the bottle to me for analysis!
loose proton
years back I found sediments in the bottom of an old bottle of Blantons that I'd been working on for a year. I poured the last maybe 100ml away because I'm super paranoid about some safety issues. Yea, I won't make that mistake again. I'll decant away some stupid cork wood that fell off, who cares. It's good drink, why waste it?
Stones
You might need to wash your mouth out before swigging from the bottle next time... quite simply put - the dreaded backwash has mixed the old food particles caught in your teeth with your beloved bourbon... callmeox
I stirred up my WLW last night by giving the bottle a quick swirl. It looked like a delicious black tornado in there.
sgtgto
Haha, what is suspended in my Willett is not sediment. I have a dozen unfiltered bottles, and this is not char from the barrels or cork. It tastes fine, especially seeing as it is a 5 yr old.
